  • Jumping between layers:
  • Simple layer controls added to the Grab Tools area (Bring to front, Send to back, etc.) Show your object exactly the way you want — craftily concealed or right out front.
  • Create your own objects:
  • Now you can make your own stickers out of animations, movies, or even a part of the picture you select with the Scissors tool from the Grab tray. Just click the Make Sticker button or choose Make Sticker from the Paint Zone menu.
  • See your name in the credits:
  • Don’t hide your light — every movie has credits at the end, and so should yours! A new option in preferences lets you add a credits slide with your name and the
  • Kid Pix Deluxe 3D logo.
  • Preview your projects:
  • Find that picture you want quickly and easily.The QuickLook plug-in allows you to browse the contents of your projects in the Finder.
  • Longer Slide Shows:
  • Slide Shows can contain four times as many slides as before — we’ve increased the capacity from 96 up to 400 slides in a single show! Create longer stories and collaborative class projects with more input from more students.
  • More time to show and tell:
  • The time limit for sound and video recordings is up from 1.5 to 5 minutes, so students can record themselves for more than three times longer than before.
  • Easier export for mobile devices:
  • Add exported movie projects directly to a “Kid Pix Videos” playlist in iTunes by selecting the “Add to iTunes Library when exporting” checkbox.
  • Intuitive playback controls:
  • It’s become more convenient to navigate through your slides in Kid Pix with the new easy-to-use playback controller.
  • Your project title:
  • Now name of your project appears in the bar at the top of the Paint Zone or Slide Show. Double- clicking the name brings up the Save As dialog for quick and easy copying of projects.
  • More art:
  • Two new gorgeous winter scenes have been added to the 3D Scenes category in the Backgrounds library.
  • A cool new pilot’s costume frame has landed in theVideo Frames gallery in the Sounds & Movies library.
  • Ten new photo backgrounds from around the world have been added to the Photos category in the Backgrounds library.
