  • Kaspersky Password Manager now supports 2FA on macOS
  • Users rely on two-factor authentication (2FA) for extra security when accessing accounts and apps. We’ve just improved our password manager for macOS so it securely stores the second part of 2FA sign-ins (typically a 6-digit code), and makes it easy for you to use it when you need it! Which all adds up to even more convenience when you go online.

  • Free version storage limited to 15 entries
  • We have added the tile view for entries in the main application window.
  • Kaspersky Password Manager can now scan the local drive for sensible images, such as document scans. After the scan is complete, the application will prompt you to upload all files recognized as documents to the cloud storage.
  • Addresses and Bank cards can be used to autofill online forms.
  • New Installation Assistant with a tutorial slide show that also includes the new extension installation procedure.
  • Custom sorting of entries in the application have been implemented.
  • If you use the free version of Kaspersky Password Manager, the amount of data that can be stored in the vault is limited. You can use up to 15 entries.
  • The structure of the database has changed:
  • We have eliminated Identities. When you upgrade to the new application version, all data from an Identity is saved to Addresses and Bank cards. The data that doesn’t suit these two entries is saved to Notes. Thus, all your data will be remain intact after the update.
  • We have added a new entry type Images. You can now store sensible images (for example, scanned IDs) in the encrypted cloud storage. Supported file extensions: JPEG, PNG, BMP.
  • All new entries are synced.

  • MAIN KNOWN ISSUES:
  • Autofill may not work on particular websites.
  • Autofill doesn’t work for applications and identities.
  • Changing a master password when no Internet connection is available may cause problems.
  • When Kaspersky Password Manager is used in more than one OS X account, for each subsequent OS X account extensions must be installed from the application preferences window.
  • If an OS X account is created after Kaspersky Password Manager is installed, the extension in this OS X account requires permission for every website.
