New in IPVanish 3.0.1 Build 440 (Sep 30, 2016)

  • Fixed a few crashes related to preferences, country selection, and users not being able to connect in certain languages
  • New Server List:
  • You can now see the load and ping time of each server in the expanded server list. Simply tap or click on the number of servers in a location, and the list will expand to show you detailed information for each individual server.
  • QuickConnect:
  • Whether you want to connect to a particular country or city, IPVanish will now pick the best server for you. If you have a favorite server that you prefer connecting to, you can still do this as well. We wanted our users to be able to connect to IPVanish in the most optimal way with a single click, and now you can.
  • IPv6 Leak Protection:
  • We have added additional security features to protect your privacy whenever you are online. IPv6 leak protection will keep your IP address protected more reliably when you are connected to a network that has IPv6 support.
  • Mini UI:
  • You can now connect, disconnect, change your country and city preferences directly from a new UI in the menu bar. If you don’t want to use the full-featured client, the smaller and simpler UI might be just for you.
  • New Server Notifications:
  • Sometimes things come up. A particular server might reach a high capacity that can affect speed and performance; now we’ll let you know when this happens and provide you with the option to easily switch servers. If you are connected to a server that is going to be undergoing maintenance in the near future, we’ll notify you ahead of time so that you’re not unexpectedly disconnected.
  • OpenVPN Scramble:
  • IPVanish now has support for OpenVPN Scramble. This is very helpful when you’re maintaining privacy in a place that tries to prevent VPN connections by using Deep Packet inspection. This protocol disguises your traffic to look like something other than VPN traffic whenever it is inspected by firewalls.
  • DNS Fixes:
  • Sometimes VPNs do not always behave correctly due to external issues. Unfortunately, this can leave users with a DNS setting that appears to cause users to lose their internet connection. If this becomes an issue, we have an easy button to reset your DNS settings.
