  • FxFactory 2.6.3 fixes a problem that would prevent certain transitions from working inside Final Cut Pro X.
  • FxFactory 2.6.3 allows our Motion Templates to be used in the trial version of Final Cut Pro X.
  • FxFactory 2.6.3 restores the ability to hide a product in Final Cut Pro X simply by disabling the checkbox in the product management UI. This feature was previously available only in hosts that support plug-ins directly, such as Motion, After Effects and Final Cut Pro 7.
  • FxFactory 2.6.3 brings the same functionality to Final Cut Pro X, and allows you to dynamically hide certain products from the Final Cut Pro X effect browser.

  • nVeil is a new creative tool for motion and still graphics, available as a filter and as a transition effect in all hosts supported by FxFactory. nVeil creates unique animations by filtering source imagery through veils, vector graphics art based on the SVG file format. The unlockable, trial version of nVeil is available by installing FxFactory 2.1.1.
  • FxFactory has the ability to detect and fix a larger number of problems that may arise when installations are incomplete, or when access permissions become invalid as a result of a software update.

New in FxFactory 2.1.0 (Sep 24, 2009)

  • Restores plug-in compatibility with Adobe® After Effects® running on Mac OS X Snow Leopard.
  • LiveToon is a new live action cartoon-look plug-in developed by DVShade. The trial, unlockable version of LiveToon is included with the FxFactory 2.1 installer.

  • The “Random Crop”, "Perspective Reflection" and "Videoconference" plug-ins now allow source media to be cropped with rounded corners.
  • The “Pixellate” and “Pointillize” filters in the “NI Stylize” category sport new animation options.
  • Rounded Corners - The Rounded Corners filter is new under the the “NI Distort” category. This filter lets you crop and add rounded corners to any source media.
  • Rounded Rectangle - Similar in scope to the “Rounded Corners” filter, this generator lets you create a rounded rectangle and assign custom colors and opacity to the inside and outside of the shape.
  • Vintage TV - New under the “NI Stylize” category, the Vintage TV filter lets you simulate the look of color and B&W cathode-ray televisions.
