New in Full Frame 1.6.2 (Jan 5, 2020)
- Fixed: On macOS Catalina (10.15), Full Frame could crash when it tried to access a memory card. If you connected a memory card before starting Full Frame, then it could crash immediately on startup. Now on Catalina, you must choose “Browse Memory Card” to allow Full Frame to access memory cards it hasn't accessed before. Full Frame will be able to access them automatically afterwards.
- Fixed: If a source contained two or more items whose creation dates down to the second were the same but whose subseconds differed, it could cause items to appear out of order or duplicated when sorting by creation date.
- Fixed: After ejecting a memory card or other removable storage, its Eject menu item sometimes still appeared.

- New: Significant improvements have been made to the performance and responsiveness of the slideshow view, especially when viewing RAW images. The app should generally no longer freeze when viewing large RAW files.

- Fixed: The preference to reduce transparency in the main window would not take effect until the app was restarted. This bug was introduced in the recent 1.4 update.
New in Full Frame 1.4 (Mar 19, 2018)
- New: Items can now be sorted by creation date, modification date, filename, type, and file size. Some cameras may not support all sorts. If yours doesn’t, then instead of connecting your camera to your Mac, try plugging its memory card into your Mac instead.
- New: Full Frame can now notify you when tasks finish. Notifications are shown in your Mac’s Notification Center. You can choose to be always notified, never notified, or notified when Full Frame is inactive or idle (the default).
- New: Info windows and the inspector window have been redesigned. Both the Name and Value columns are now left-aligned, and metadata groups can be collapsed and expanded by clicking disclosure triangles.
- New: Info windows now remember their last size.
- New: Info windows now support tabs in macOS Sierra (10.12) and later. You can view the metadata of many items in a single info window, with each item in its own tab. Option–click the “i” info button on a thumbnail to open its metadata in a new tab instead of a window.
- New: In the thumbnails view, the “Get Info” menu command now opens an info window per selected item instead of a single info window with the merged metadata of all selected items. You can open a merged info window with the new “Merge Info” command.
- New: You can now choose that nothing should happen when you click thumbnails.

- New: The app better handles the situation where your iPhone or iPad is “locked” and Full Frame can’t access it.
- New: Memory cards and other devices can now be ejected from the Sources popup in the toolbar.
- New: Slideshow transition animations when using the keyboard are now disabled by default. You can enable them in Full Frame’s preferences window if you’d like.
- New: The inspector window keyboard shortcut has changed from I to Option–Command–I since the latter is the usual inspector shortcut in macOS apps.
- New: The keyboard shortcuts for the “Deselect All” and “Invert Selection” menu commands have been swapped: Deselect All is now Shift–Command–A, which is the usual Deselect All shortcut in macOS apps, and Invert Selection is now Option–Command–A.
- Fixed: The app sometimes showed items from newer iPhones out of order.
- Fixed: Items in iPhones and iPads are now sorted correctly. By default they’re sorted by creation date, newest to oldest. You can also change the sort as described above.
- Fixed: Newer iPhones may have been very slow to load, especially if they had videos.
- Fixed: If you changed the import filename template during import, the remaining items in the import would use the new template. Now, all items in an import will use the template that was set when the import started.
- Fixed: Photos could sometimes take a long time to load in the slideshow view.
- Fixed: Editing metadata in the inspector window could sometimes crash the app.

- • New: You can now automatically delete items after they’re imported. You can choose to always delete after import or to be asked every time. Starting with this new version, you’ll be asked by default.
- New: The scroll bar in the thumbnails view now shows tick marks to indicate where your selected thumbnails are, making it easier to find them. You can disable this feature if you don’t like it. (OS X 10.10 Yosemite and later)
- New: Selected thumbnails are now indicated with rectangular outlines instead of the less Mac-like big white checkmarks. You can customize their color.
- New: The keyboard shortcut for importing items is now Command-Return. The previous shortcut, Return, makes it too easy to accidentally delete items now that they can be automatically deleted after import. However, you can still customize this shortcut using the Keyboard panel of your Mac’s System Preferences.
- New: When you scroll the thumbnails view by dragging the knob in the scroll bar, the view will now retain its position when you release the knob. Previously, the position might have jumped when you released the knob.
- New: Several other improvements have been made to the way the thumbnails view handles scrolling and updating.
- New: The Purchase toolbar button will now move to the overflow menu when the window is narrow and you’ve made at least once purchase, instead of remaining in the toolbar.
- New: The Purchase panel in the Preferences window has been refreshed.
- New: Alerts and other messages have been improved throughout the app.

- Bug fix: In previous versions of the app, when you used the Import toolbar button, the Import All menu item, or the Import Selected menu item, items that had already been imported were counted against your number of remaining imports. That was unintentional, and we apologize. If you used a previous version of the app, please accept 100 more imports, saves, and deletes free of charge in this new version.
- Bug fix: The app sometimes reported that some memory cards contain no items or fewer items that they actually do.
- Bug fix: After deleting items in the thumbnails view, the wrong items may have appeared to have been deleted or selected.
- Bug fix: Text in thumbnail overlays could sometimes be unnecessarily truncated.
- Bug fix: High-resolution images in the thumbnails view could very rarely fail to load until you start scrolling.
