  • FreeSpace displays the true free disk space as in Disk Utility. The true number is normally different from the Finder if you have local snapshots present in your APFS drive. This difference can be ignored most of the time since macOS will automatically reclaim the space of the snapshots when the free space is too low.

The difference can generally be ignored since macOS will automatically reclaim the space of the snapshots when the free space is too low.
