  • New Features:
  • Link left side panel with right side panel (B14731) - It is now possible to automatically open a right side panel when selecting a left side panel. The connection between the panels is configured in the configuration dialog for the left sidepanel. Check the new option "Automatically activate right side panel" and select the right hand "slave" panel from the droplist beneath.
  • Use a specific metadata editor for an archive (B14732) - The ability to force using a specific metadata editor per archive has been implemented as a new "DropList" control in the archive configuration dialog, "Select metadata editor". The default option is "", which means that FotoStation will remember the last used editor for different functions. The last editor for "Add to selected files" may be different than "Edit" (one by one). By selecting a specific editor for an archive, this editor will be used for all functions using the metadata editor when this archive is selected.
  • Proxy support for Archive Agent and Index Manager archives (B14801) - A new "Proxy Settings" page has been added to the main configuration dialog under "General"
  • Automount SMB volumes for Index Manager archives (B14810) - FotoStation will try too mounte shares (/Volume/archive) the first time an IndexManager archive is selected. Username/password stored in you keychain will be used, or you will be prompted for it if it is incorrect or not stored.
  • Fixes:
  • BarView; does not remember the "current" archive selected when switching bar-/normal-view (B11366) - The issue has been resolved.
  • Delete is missing from context menu in preview (B13456) - The issue has been resolved
  • Drag and drop between multi-search columns with assigned macro does not work (B13507) - The destination colomn has to have checked the "Allow drop into this colomn" to get the short-cut working.
  • Not saving selected keywords in thesaurus list (B13513) - The issue has been resolved.
  • When adding a metadata template or macro to an action, you cannot create a new one directly from the Actions interface (B13525) - The issue has been resolved.
  • Not possible to add a line shift in the metadata macro editor (B13526) - The issue has been resolved.
  • Project timer callback called even if source not shown (B13533) - The issue has been resolved.
  • Crash with large files (B13536) - You can get this crash if you run low on memory.
  • Print to File always displays Page 1of 1 instead of the actual number of pages. (IE Page 1 of 2, 2 of 2) (B13544) - The issue has been resolved.
  • Logon to Server doen't clear all the working folders before downloading the configuration. IE: Text Templates. (B13549) - The issue has been resolved.
  • "Print to file" doesn't read the height correctly from the user preference file. (B13582) - A message box will appear to inform about incorrect dimensions.
  • Searching fields with ODBC creates crash with certain characters (B13585) - The issue has been resolved.
  • Some characters is shown wrong using an ODBC connection (B13586) - The issue has been resolved.
  • History events are deleted when included in a text editor (B13669) - A new history control is used in metadata edit.
  • Some video fileformats hangs FotoStation if you print them (B13927) - The issue has been resolved.

  • In Text Editor does not remember / init the "ODBC search name" correct for "Editor Properties" (B14530) - The issue has been resolved.
  • The text edit dialogs created with the Text Editor (TED) using ODBC connection gets wrong button(s) for search (B14532) - The issue has been resolved.
  • Dropping images into Image Thumbnail window for a project crash FotoStation (B14546) - The issue has been resolved.

  • Acquire Selected Images does not work for files in Index Manager 7 and Archive Agent archives (B14626) - FotoStation will now provide an error message when trying to acquire files from IM7 or Archive agent archives. These archive types are not supported sources for acquire.

New in FotoStation Pro 7.0.410 (May 21, 2010)

  • New Features:
  • DICOM namespace added to FotoWare Metadata Configuration (B14537)
  • The XMP namespace, http://ns.adobe.com/DICOM/, has been assigned to IDs 400 to 420. A new metadata editor for DICOM has also been added to the default configuration. This editor will not show up if another FotoStation configuration already exists. Optionally, download the DICOM editor from http://labs.fotoware.com
  • GZIP compression now supported with Index Manager Version 7.0 archives (B14543)
  • GZIP greatly improves performance on low bandwidth networks.
  • Changes:
  • Canon RAW format library updated to support EOS 1D MARK IV model. (B14516)
  • All Canon EOS cameras are now supported.
  • Fixes:
  • Program terminates when reading files with incorrect XMP. (B13546):
  • Files with multiple values in Creator tool and specific date fields would cause termination. The issue has been resolved.
