FFGenie Changelog

What's new in FFGenie 2014.2

Mar 27, 2014
  • Fixes the "Update Last" function.

New in FFGenie 2010.2 (Mar 31, 2010)

  • Ability to use login information to retrieve your own user team information. No more resorting to finding your obscure team ID information. To use this feature in the "User Teams" dialog, set "Team Type" to "Website Login" and enter your login and password. Note your password will be stored as plain text on your machine. If you don't wish to store your password, leave it blank and you will be prompted to enter it each time you update your team.
  • Each user team's history can be tracked across all 22 rounds, and this now includes weekly score, overall score, team value, weekly rank and overall rank in addition to the players and salary cap left fields. However, the user must be vigilant in updating after every round. If one round is missing, the program cannot fill in the blanks, so to speak.
  • You can load all of your league(s) as user teams in one go. Click the "Load" button in the "User Teams" dialog, and choose the "League" option. This will prompt you for login, password and game type. If the checkbox "Update Loaded Teams After Loading" is ticked this will also update the teams information.
  • Bulk update - This allows you to select multiple teams for an update. This will be handy in later rounds to allow you to keep track of all your user teams.
  • New Game Type - Sportsbet http://sportsbet.afl.virtualsports.com.a

New in FFGenie 2009.4 (Apr 21, 2009)

  • Added support for VirtualSports DreamTeam (http://footy.virtualsports.com.au). From now on, the main Dream Team competition will be referred to as afl.com.au DreamTeam
  • Team ID Finder. A wizard that takes in your ranking and displays all User Teams with that ranking. Select the team that corresponds to your team and press OK to populate the Team ID field. This wizard is launched via the Find... button next to the Team ID text field in the User Teams dialog.
  • Ability to import from a gzipped stats file (recognised by .ffz extensions)
  • Ability to set the table's highlighted rows colour (This is performed via Right Click -> Set Highlight Colour). This is a global setting and will affect all the tables in FFGenie, not just the one you set it from.
  • BUGFIX - User teams added after opening the trade wizard for the first time do not show up in the trade wizard. FIXED.

New in FFGenie 2009.3 (Apr 8, 2009)

  • Change code to be Java 5 compatible to allow pre-Mac OS X 10.5 users to run the application.
  • Persist the state of the last trade wizard, as it is the common case that only one variable will be changed in the next usage of the wizard.
  • Added trade wizard button and download from file button to the top panel
  • When checking for a new stats file, the application will now prompt the user whether they want to overwrite their current or new stats file.
  • GUI tweaks - rearrangements
