Embrilliance Changelog

What's new in Embrilliance 1.145 RC

Mar 27, 2015
  • Font import window changes (AlphaTricks):
  • Mapping is displayed as text above the letter.
  • User can drag any letter, not just the currently selected one.
  • Drag occurs anywhere in the letter’s area, not just on the stitches.
  • Imported fonts now have an attribute “Hidden” which means it will not be displayed in the font selection pop-up in the Letter properties pages.
  • The top, center and bottom measurement of the selected letter is now shown in the importer.
  • When a user is dragging, they can hold the Ctrl key to move at 1/10th the rate for more precise alignments.
  • The reason for these is to accomplish more precision with letter overshoot – above/below the baselines – and to allow that overshoot to be made similar on multiple letters by matching the values as needed.
  • When a Lettering design is selected, there is now an added ‘Stitch’ property for imported fonts. This is analogous to the ‘Stitch’ page for built-in font Lettering. It contains some simply density and compensation control. Also imported fonts can now remove overlaps intra-design similar to the built-in fonts. This is NOT the same as Enthusiast or DRK adjustments; it is only available on mapped fonts, making them similar to built-in fonts.
  • Utility->Save Image (Enthusiast):
  • There is an updated 3D rendering system. This is visible in the main view as you zoom in, and also in the Save Image Utility from Enthusiast: Designs are now rendered at 600 DPI which gives the ability to zoom in and have a clear image.
  • Object View:
  • Designs with selected objects are now shadow-highlighted in the tree.
  • Stitch Generation (StitchArtist):
  • Satin columns with low density generate better (stay within the outline) even on narrow, tightly turning shapes.
  • Automatic column splitting has been improved.
  • Fills have been sped back up.
  • Formats:
  • Minor adjustments for new OEM software and machine compatibility. (JEF split and DST with RTO)
  • Built-in Fonts:
  • Some letters had minor jumps not visible in home machines but were affecting commercial machines. These now have internal stitching adjusted to cut the number of apparent trims.
  • Preferences:
  • If the hoop is not touched, it won’t change the hoop on the page. This was an annoyance.

New in Embrilliance 1.140 (Jan 5, 2015)

  • Along with some minor issues we found the cause of a crash and fixed it.

New in Embrilliance 1.137 (Dec 12, 2014)

  • Includes mostly bug fixes – fairly minor but if you are having any troubles at all, please update.
  • We had an issue occur which affected the placement of objects in Color Sort. That has been corrected, and the Save All for cut-files sometimes would miss pieces, resulting in a message that a cut-file could not be created.
  • Also there were some minor tweaks in the Mac StitchArtist interface. Apple had changed some things on us in an update that came through right as we were releasing the last version, and that broke some OSX 10.5 items. We have revisited those and made adjustments. Sorry about that!

New in Embrilliance 1.130 (Jun 30, 2014)

  • Some of our Mac folk couldn’t get their Mac to right-click, thanks to the legacy of Steve Jobs’ broken driving finger (why else would his mouse only have one button?). But no matter, because we were going to add a feature anyway. Now when changing the color, you also have an applique tab!
  • The applique feature for removing hidden stitches has also had a new item, around which we are filing a patent.
  • The Embrilliance engine is now taking a look at whatever color you specify to be an applique and scanning it for multiple outlines, even holes, and is finding the applique shape. With that new invention in place, we can test it by visualizing a fabric as the applique. Click a color to change it, and when the color window comes up, there is an applique tab, and on that tab you can tell the program the color is applique, position or material, and have the program attempt to simulate a fabric fill.

New in Embrilliance 1.128 (May 1, 2014)

  • Corrected some issues that occurred in the 1.127 update.

New in Embrilliance 1.110 (Sep 6, 2013)

  • Automatic splitting for some of the multi-position hoops has been added! We are testing to see how this goes over before we add more.
  • Also new threads: Sigma, Metro and some others added, edited. Updated VP3 compatibility and more.

New in Embrilliance 1.108 (May 4, 2013)

  • Adding threads.
  • Adding support for the rest of the JEF hoops.
  • Fixup all known bugs. Allowing use of Embrilliance AlphaTricks, which maps alphabet designs as keyboard fonts.

New in Embrilliance 1.09 (Aug 17, 2011)

  • Updated Navigation Window, Color Sort Feature, several bug fixes and a new user guide.
