  • All EDLs can be saved automatically, with a pre-set name to a pre-set folder.
  • EDL-X can now install a Final Cut Pro X Share Destination, so that XML can be sent directly to EDL-X.
  • Using these two features, EDL-X can be set up to make and save EDLs in one single step, starting in Final Cut Pro X.
  • Roles can display both main and sub-roles.
  • Roles can be pre-filtered, reducing the number of roles shown in the Preferences tab. For example, roles on unused multicam angles are omitted.
  • The 10 most recently opened XML files are now listed in the File menu.
  • Retime effects, shown in the EDL as M2 events, are now formatted to be more compatible with commonly used editing software.
  • Resolved an issue involving freeze frames.
  • Addressed certain flow and invalidation issues.

  • Near-complete re-write of the application, removing some previous limitations, and adding some new features:
  • Role Filtering: control what footage is included based on Roles assigned in FCP X.
  • Support for retimed footage on all nesting levels.
  • List Effects including some parameters and keyframes.
  • Fades at the head or tail of clips can be represented as dissolves in the EDL.
  • EDL-X can be used as a Share Destination straight from FCP X's Share menu. This means that an XML file doesn't have to be explicitly saved to disk any more, and sequences/cuts/projects can be made to EDL-X from FCP X in a single step.
