  • Floating control panel. Added an on-screen control panel that allows full use of DwellClick without needing to press the keyboard. This improves DwellClick for users of head trackers and other hands free input devices.
  • Clickless switch-on. When DwellClick is off, you can turn it on by hovering over the menu bar icon for 1 second.
  • The graphic symbol displayed above the mouse pointer showing the selected modifier next click is now more subtle, and can be turned off.
  • Added an option in prefs to turn off the one-tap modifier feature.
  • Removed the keyboard shortcut for Locked Drag. As an alternative, press the shortcut for Drag twice.
  • The button panels now highlight in grey if your Mac is set to the Graphite theme.

  • New Features:
  • Quick Drag. Quick Drag is a new feature for dragging things that would not normally trigger Auto Drag, such as Finder items and text. Quick Drag detects movement of the pointer within the fraction of a second after an auto click, and transforms the click into a drag. You can turn Quick Drag on in the General preference pane.
  • Improvements:
  • If you use a multi-touch trackpad, you can now prevent clicking by touching a second finger down on to the trackpad. (Requires Snow Leopard.)
  • DwellClick will avoid clicking if you switch between applications (such as using Command-Tab) during the dwell period.
  • Added a “Drag and Paste” action to complement “Drag and Copy”.
  • The AppleScript “perform” command now always performs the click immediately, independently of the settings for keyboard equivalents.
  • DwellClick offers to move itself to the Applications folder at startup.

  • DwellClick is fully compatible with Dragon Dictate 2.0's mouse moving commands.

  • The size of the animated flash is adjustable. You can make it bigger to see it better.
  • The DwellClick control panel has a choice of horizontal or vertical layout.
  • DwellClick now has a jitter tolerance setting. This makes it work better with input devices such as graphics tablets and head trackers.
  • If you use a graphics tablet, DwellClick now ignores any accidental movement as you lift the pen away from the tablet.
  • You can cancel a DwellClick drag by manually pressing any mouse button.
  • When an application is blocked, you can choose whether to block all clicks (including on other, non-blocked apps) when that app is active.
  • Keyboard equivalents cause the action immediately, instead of just selecting the acton.
  • There is a counter showing the number of DwellClick clicks and the number of manual clicks you have done, in the Software pane of DwellClick preferences.
  • DwellClick won't click if you start scrolling with the scroll wheel, Magic Mouse or trackpad.
  • DwellClick plays nicely with LazyMouse (http://www.old-jewel.com/lazymouse/).
  • DwellClick can be controlled using AppleScript.
  • DwellClick has a Mouse Down/Mouse Up command, accessible via the keyboard and via AppleScript.
