  • In order to conform to the Apple's rules on file system usage, the default download directory is set to "~/Library/application Support/Limit Point Software/DropDownloadURL" rather the internet download folder. You can change the fixed destination to any folder you like subsequently using Preferences. You can also opt to have the app prompt you for a destination for each invocation.

  • A button named "Process Browser URL" for downloading the current browser URL resources has been placed in the status window. Clicking this button queues up and downloads all URLs referenced by the current browser window (only supported browsers available, such as Safari, Omniweb, Camino.)

New in DropDownloadURL 1.0.2 (Feb 5, 2009)

  • In the previous update the option to preserve file comments during aggregation was added.
  • This was because it was discovered comments were lost when the files were moved.
  • It turns out this bug only exists in the Tiger version of Mac OS X, and not Leopard.
  • Therefore now the program will not copy file comments if this option is selected in Leopard since it would be redundant and waste time.
  • (Note the the downloaded file will have their comments set to the location URL if that option is selected.)

New in DropDownloadURL 1.0.1 (Jan 24, 2009)

  • The destination directory is no longer stored as a pathname, but as an alias. This way if you move or rename it the program can still find it.
  • A "default directory" has been implemented in case no directory is explicitly chosen, or a previous selection has been trashed.
  • Added the option to preserve file comments when aggregating the downloaded files. Since copying comments is more time consuming this option is off by default.
  • An "Options" button has been added to the main window for opening the preferences window more quickly.
  • Added an alert when the "Aggregate Files" button is clicked since this operation is undoable by the program.
  • Added a "tool tip" to the "Open Output Folder" button that shows where the destination directory is.
  • The file navigation dialog for choosing a destination directory has been made localizable.
