  • Enhancements:
  • The Import action now also supports libraries exported by old versions of DVDManager (pre-v1.9) and DVDManager Pro (pre-v2.1.1).
  • In the Retrieve sheet, the width of the Year column has been increased for its header to no longer be truncated in any language.
  • Fixes:
  • The Retrieve action should resume returning some search results.
  • Addresses a minor regression introduced in version 2.4 resulting in translations not being used for some English-based languages.

  • Some new Chinese, Italian, and Spanish sources have been made available in the Retrieve sheet.
  • Enhancements:
  • In Read mode, previewless discs now present the preview of their parent box set.
  • Improved the handling of search requests in the Retrieve sheet by strictly adhering to RFC 3986.
  • Running a search from the Retrieve sheet is now non-blocking, and can therefore be interrupted at any time (e.g., by running a new search request, or by dismissing the panel).
  • Search results in the Retrieve sheet can no longer be partially displayed when scrolling through the list or after a resize of the panel.
  • Restored the "rubber-banding" visual feedback when scrolling over the limits of the main window's outline view.
  • At last, you can now simply double-click your license file (.dmpl) to register the app.

  • New Features:
  • Compatible with OS X Mountain Lion (v10.8).
  • Create backup archives of your DVD library in a new native file format (.dmbu) via the Export action.
  • The Import action now supports pre-v2.2 ZIP-based archives alongside those new backup files.
  • Enhancements:
  • Overhauled the File menu's offerings, more in sync with Apple's guidelines: exports are no longer restricted to the Desktop; menu items feature more standard, streamlined labels; Import gets a shortcut; and the Web Export action has been relabelled to "Publish to a Folder" to avoid any confusion with the Export action.
  • Improved the handling of errors that may occur when retrieving DVD details; leading to some increased stability.
  • More sort attributes are saved between sessions in order to restore even more of your environment on next launch.
  • Uncluttered the Customize Toolbar sheet by removing the (rather inappropriate) Web Export item.

  • Prevented a potential crash from happening when deleting and then adding new items during a session.

New in DVDManager Pro 2.1.6 Build 48 (Jan 28, 2013)

  • Enhancements:
  • Completely overhauled our sort mechanism; which should now be more "standard".
  • Raised the run time limit to 9999 minutes (from 5999).
  • CSV Import: Improved our handling of text encodings (e.g., allowing one to correctly import Japanese-based data).
  • Non-default genres weren't processed during a CSV-based import; they're now supported, being considered as some custom genres.
  • For a slightly better experience, contextual changes done on already-selected items are now also followed through automatic scrolling; if needed, when respecting the sort.
  • Improved how the HD info is displayed in the Details drawer in Read mode.
  • Removing the currently-selected column could lead to a non-standard "No column selected" state. From now on, in such a situation, the primary column—i.e. Title—gets the focus; so that a column is always selected.
  • Removed the Unregister DVDManager Pro… menu item from the Demo mode.
  • Localizations: German (de) > Made some punctuation changes in menu labels.
  • Fixes:
  • Addressed an issue where retrieving contacts with no first name from Address Book could lead to a crash.
  • Also, for contacts with no last name, prevented incorrect representations from being displayed in the Manage sheet.
  • An invalid blank result could have been proposed in the Retrieve sheet when searching by title; it's been addressed.
  • Resolved a minor regression introduced in v2.1.5 that may prevent the status bar from being up-to-date right after a search.
  • Resolved situations in the CSV-based Import sheet where the Import button was still enabled while no mappings were actually defined.
  • Unregistering the app was breaking the auto-enabling of some menu items; it's corrected.
  • Another column being selected, bringing back the then-selected column was incorrectly also bringing its indicator image; it's fixed.
  • (48) Re-built as a Universal binary; restoring support for PowerPC.
