What's new in ColorDial 1.6 Build 37 Pre

  • Some users have requested support for OS X 10.10 (Yosemite).
  • This is basically just a rebuild with an earlier deployment target. There's no need to upgrade if you're already using it on 10.11 (El Capitan).
  • Included also are code changes to prepare for Swift 3.0.

New in ColorDial 1.6 Build 32 (Dec 14, 2015)

  • Introduced proper HSL support, allowing us to perform lighten / darken / saturate / desaturate operations.
  • The center 4 color buttons have been converted from Saturation/Value to Saturation/Lightness.
  • Added a new 14-color history swatch set over on the right side of the main window which recalls the last colors picked or have added from the color dial.
  • You can now hold down the command (⌘) key when picking to enter continuous picking mode.
  • Drag and drop all the color swatches from ColorDial to any application that will accept dropped colors.
  • The close on minimize feature has been removed by request.
  • The RGB and HSL text boxes are now parsed for input values when they have been entered.

  • Now you can drag and drop all the color swatches from ColorDial to any application that will accept dropped colors.
  • The user interface has been redesigned after some usability study to be more intuitive as to the functionality.

New in ColorDial 1.4 Build 19 (Dec 14, 2015)

  • With this release we've added a new 8-color history swatch set over on the right side of the main window which recalls the last 8 colors you picked or have clicked on in the color dial.
  • Also you can now hold down the command (⌘) key when picking to enter continuous picking mode. Select multiple colors at once and they'll be stored in your history for later perusal.
