New in BayIcons 4.0 (Nov 6, 2020)

  • A modern rounded rectangle option has been added for Mac icons. Choose between three neuromorphic styles: Recessed, Embossed, and Linear. This option is now the default for new documents.
  • New name: CircleIcons is now known as BayIcons. The name change reflects the reduced role that circles play in modern icons. (Circles still exist as an option for platforms that support them. However, they are no longer the default.)
  • BayIcons now handles purchases from within the app. BayIcons is now a free “get” download and is free to try out for an indefinite amount of time. Watermarks are added to exported icon images when using the free version. Watermarks can be removed by purchasing a full license. (Users who purchased BayIcons prior to 4.0 do not need to repurchase the app. )

  • TV and Watch: Added support for new icon sizes.
  • Added support for Dark Mode.
  • Replaced half light/half dark UI with a modern appearance so that CircleIcons better conforms to both light mode and dark mode.
