Centrify Express Changelog

What's new in Centrify Express 5.1.3

Mar 27, 2014
  • PuTTY in Deployment Manager has been upgraded from version 0.62 to version 0.63 (REF#: 53652).

New in Centrify Express 5.1.1 (Dec 3, 2013)

  • New Features:
  • Centrify now provides a Mac OS X package that can be installed silently by ARD and similar software deployment products like Casper. (44581).
  • More comprehensive logging in the new Mac Diagnostic tool including information obtained from AD user queries (45606).
  • An enhanced Automount Group Policy allowing users to able to create a symbolic link shortcut in the “Desktop/Network Shares/” directory for folders within the share if specified for SMB for Mac OS 10.7.x and for AFP and SMB for Mac OS 10.8.x and 10.9, rather than just the root of the share, which was the behavior prior to this enhancement. For example, when the following paths are specified in the group policy:
  • smb://server.domain.com/smb_share/smb_folder afp://server.domain.com/afp_share/afp_folder
  • Previously, only the ‘smb_share’ or the ‘afp share’ symbolic link would be created in the user’s Desktop/Network Shares/. Now, with this enhancement, the ‘smb_folder’ or ‘afp_folder’ symbolic link as specified in the Automount Group Policy will now be created. (Note: for AFP shares on Mac OS 10.7, the ‘afp_folder’ symbolic link is still not created, even if specified.) (45710).
  • Bugs Fixed:
  • Added an additional warning message in the Centrify Account Migration tool that warns the user about the possibility of a conflict in UIDs when user tries to delete a local user account and map it to an AD user account. (45033)
