New in Artboard 2.0.4 Build 11040 (Oct 25, 2016)

  • A crash that could occur when closing a window in a full-screen session was fixed.
  • When setting a simulated paper color, any selected color well elsewhere in the app is now deactivated, so that the color panel only sets the simulated paper color. In addition, a bug where the color panel could be left in an inconsistent state was fixed.
  • Added 'Paste Path on Object' command to right-click menu for text paths.
  • An issue was fixed where pressing keys on the keyboard during drags in some circumstances could leave the Undo stack in an unclosed state which caused problems for subsequent operations.
  • When opening image files from the Open menu, documents are now opened as Untitled. The layer containing the image is set to the original filename. This now also applies to SVG images, so the behaviour in those cases is harmonised.
  • Export 'transparent' setting is now saved correctly and is no longer forced 'on' if the user previously set it 'off'.

New in Artboard 2.0.3 Build 11037 (Sep 16, 2016)

  • Enhancement/Fix: A user-edited object name is now preserved when an object is converted from one type to another. This action is also now undoable.
  • Enhancement: Editing a single object's name can now be done in the Geometry Tab as well as the Layers item for that object. This is done either by a right click Rename menu or by a double-click on the title (10.9+ only).
  • Bug fix: When opening older files that have unnamed objects, a default name is now assigned.
  • Change: Object Snapping toolbar item is now part of the default set.
  • Bug fix: Menu commands pertaining to Layers were not being enabled when the Layers tab was placed in the right-hand sidebar.
  • Bug fix: Export folder bookmark is now created with the correct security scope option, allowing it to work with sandboxing (App Store version).
  • Change: Added the option to Export items without any name suffix ('None')
  • Change: Image Browser removes the media library elements as these were proving unstable. The functionality has been replaced by...
  • Enhancement: The standard 'Open' dialog now shows images and image media which can be opened as a complete document or dragged into an existing document.
  • Change: The Asia map is now part of the 'regions' category. This change will likely not be visible if a user has customized the built-in collection.
