New in AppTime 1.1 (Sep 4, 2018)

  • Visual improvements (background and font color and opacity) and CSV export. Now you can see results after one click on the AppTime’s status bar icon. Some features are available only on macOS 10.11 and above.

New in AppTime 1.0.2 (Apr 9, 2016)

  • To open the about window you can now double click inside the results window (opening the preferences window with a click inside the results window has been discontinued).
  • AppTime’s windows stay with the active desktop and all windows but the results hide when AppTime is not active.
  • You can watch an instructional video at https://vimeo.com/161623216.
  • To keep your results accurate, quit AppTime before updating.
  • Bug fixes and several (mostly visual) improvements:
  • The status bar tool tip now displays also a time scope (today, total, …).
  • The results window now resizes the leftmost column.
  • Results and sharing use fixed width font on El Capitan (still the default system font).
  • Results table column headers are now clickable:
  • applications column header pauses refreshing of table data (time for all time scopes is still counted, just the results view is not being refreshed, results turn red), then you can see app’s path as an icon or app’s name tool tip. Why? Because sometimes you can have more apps using the same name and icon, typically when developing or using different program versions. AppTime differentiates between them. To un-pause, click the header again.
  • percentage column header opens the preferences window
  • time active column header opens the share window
