What's new in AnyTalk 1.4.0

  • The option of replying to messages has been added. Select a message in a chat and open the context menu. The new menu entry “Reply to message” is available in it.
  • The option of deleting messages for all chat members has been added. To delete a message for all chat members, use the context menu. Click on the entry “Delete message” to open the dialog box with deleting options: for all or for you.
  • The function of message editing has been added. To edit an outgoing message, click on it with right mouse button and select the entry “Message editing” in the resulting context menu. Your editing history is stored in the message information box. Select the “pencil” icon for quick access to this box.
  • Group chats now have administrators.
  • The options of disabling notifications in private chats and indication on the application icon have been added. The “badge” switcher becomes available after notifications disabling in the chat.
  • Separate emoji sent without accompanying text are displayed in large size now.

  • Added an amazing feature in this release: AnyTalk Calling. You can now call any of your AnyTalk contacts for free, create group calls (for up to 4 people), including video calls, while being sure that all your data is secured with encryption.

  • You can view the detailed information on the time your message has been delivered and viewed (select “Message Info” in the pop-up menu or click on the check marks next to the chat bubble).
  • You can remove participants from group chats now (the delete button will appear opposite the participant’s avatar in group edit mode).
  • Rich previews for links shared in conversations.
  • Chat windows have a “pin” option that allows the selected chat windows to stay on top of other open windows (open the “Window” menu on the top of the screen and select “Pin”; to pin a separate chat window, mouse over the chat’s header and click on the “Pin” button that will appear).
  • You can quote other participants (select the text you want to quote in the chat bubble and choose an option marked “Quote” that will appear in the pop-up menu).
