  • Integration with CS6:
  • Adobe Drive 4 fully integrates with Creative Suite 6 products, including Adobe Photoshop 32/64bit, Adobe Bridge 32/64bit, Adobe Illustrator 32/64bit, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe InCopy.
  • Automatic check-in for file added from Finder or Explorer:
  • You can now choose to automatically check in new files that are added in a connected folder through the file system (Mac OS Finder or Windows Explorer).
  • Automatic check-in is enabled by default; you can de-select the option in the Settings dialog to disable the feature.
  • When the feature is enabled, files are automatically checked in when you create them in a connected folder, or when you copy new files into a connected folder.
  • You can add a default string in the Settings dialog to use as the check-in comment for newly added files.
  • Server connection display name:
  • When you add a new Adobe Drive connection, you can specify a customized display name for that connection. The display name is show for the connection icon and the file system volume name.
If you do not specify a Display Name value, the connection URL is shown to identify the connection.
  • Show metadata of history version in Adobe Bridge (CQ DAM only):
  • When you view the history versions of an asset that is managed by a CQ DAM server, the metadata of for the selected version is shown in the metadata panel of Adobe Bridge.
  • Updates link on Adobe Drive Connect UI:
  • When you click the “Updates” link in the Adobe Drive Connect UI, Adobe Application Manager checks for available updates and let you choose the latest updates to install.

  • Overall performance has been improved in a number of areas. Specific fixes related to performance include:
  • When working with an ADEP DAM server or CQ DAM server, significant improvement in the ability to handle large files and numbers of files and versions. Benchmark testing shows the performance for check-in of large files to have a 20%-30% improvement, and for the check-in of large numbers of files and of files with large numbers of versions, greater than 10x improvement. Specific times vary with the operating system and Adobe Drive host.
