Monitoring your blood sugar level and your food intake is very important if you are dealing with diabetes. DiabetesPal is a Mac app that can help you track various details about your alimentation or health status and allows you to sync the data to all your devices.

Since DiabetesPal also has an iOS companion application, you will be able to closely monitor all the information related to your disease even if you are on the go.

The DiabetesPal user interface is represented by a large window where you can keep a logbook for all your activities or medications and a glucose diary. The application allows you to record details about your insulin, glucose, the carbs intake, physical activities, ketone / HbA1C / blood pressure level, height and weight.

What’s more, you can specify the time of day for each reading: before / after breakfast, lunch, dinner, bedtime or night. Via the DiabetesPal Preferences window you can easily modify the hours for each daily meal in order to match your schedule.

You can change the default measurement units for the glucose, weight, height and HbA1C readings or for the food portions. The same area displays the color code for the glucose levels and allows you to define medications, insulin quantities or activities.

DiabetesPal is also able to generate reports that can be sent directly to the printer or can be forwarded to your doctor via the Messages application. To backup up the information stored in DiabetesPal, you can export the database to a CSV file.

The app can also create various graphs that will help you better understand your condition: you are able to visualize your glucose level for certain dates, for specific day times, the weight / height modifications, the body mass index, the blood pressure and more.
