Workspaces delivers a simple solution for keeping all the resources related to the same project in the same space, so you can launch them and start working in a matter of seconds.

The Workspaces app allows you to define multiple projects and can deal with different types of resources, such as files and folders, applications, emails, or URLs. You can also open a certain folder in a Terminal window.

The Workspaces app will reside in the status bar, but you need to navigate to the workspaces editor window to be able to configure resources groups. Note that you can create as many groups as you like, and each of them can include multiple items of the same type.

Moreover, you get to set the app that should be used when opening the respective folder or file, set parameters when launching an app, select the browser to open a particular URL in case you don’t want to use the default one.

Workspaces can automatically launch all the configured resources when you press the Start button in the bottom area of the status bar menu. If you opt to launch them manually, you will have to double click the respective entry in the Workspaces status bar menu.

Worth mentioning is that Workspaces only launches apps and opens files or folders, and so on. When you are done working with them, you will have to close the respective items on your own.

Nonetheless, since you get to launch the items for the new project almost instantly, your productivity will certainly improve.

Workspaces also provides support for opening the workspace browser and editor using hotkeys and can send audio alerts when performing tasks automatically.
