AstroImager is an astrophotography application designed to work with various camera models, or with any INDI server. AstroImager can operate in association with filter wheel and CCD devices.

Within the AstroImager main window, via intuitive drop down menus, you get to select the camera you want to control (has to be connected to your Mac), the filter wheel, and the color filter you want to employ.

AstroImager offers you the possibility to preview your capture or to save the image to your disk as a .fits image file. Note that when you preview the capture, you get to zoom in or out the image, to automatically adjust the black and white point settings, to create sub frames, and more.

Other functions include the option to measure the drift of a star or to use the Bahtinov Mask Helper to focus and align your telescope. AstroImager can also connect to online resources in order to attempt to solve user selected frames.

AstroImager also integrates camera management capabilities, such as the option to adjust the offset for the Debayer captured images. Moreover, you get to set up cooling points and the image capture duration. This is very useful especially when working on timelapse projects.

The images captured by the AstroImager application are sent to a folder of your choice, and you get to assign prefixes and to set the counting pattern.

AstroImager offers you the option to visualize the images captured by your telescope’s camera on your Mac’s desktop and zoom in on the areas you want to capture. The utility also integrates camera control functions, and can help you focus your telescope.

If you need a helping hand, its development team provides an AstroImager Getting Started Guide on YouTube which should get you up and going in no time.

What's new in AstroImager 4.14:
