Manage your WordPress account, build your site and follow streams without having to use a web browser, with this handy desktop app. #WordPress client #WordPress app #Publish blog #WordPress #Client #Blog
WordPress is a popular web development platform that aims to make it as simple as possible to create and publish your own websites or blogs.
Normally, you would have to access the service with the help of a web browser, but the WordPress.com app offers an alternative. It allows you to access your account and perform all the operations possible through the web panel.
If you have used the web service before, you should have no problems getting the hang of this OS X app, as it provides the exact same experience. The main advantage, of course, is that you do not have to use a web browser, so you can do away with that one tab that had to be kept active at all times.
You can manage both your website and the various streams your are following, update your pages, respond to comments and find new content.
WordPress.com can be easily accessed from your Dock, and the app can show a notification badge or bounce the icon whenever something needs to be brought to your attention.
It would be nice, however, if the application could be sent to your Mac’s menu bar, so as to make it possible to do away with the Dock icon and perform various simple operations without bringing up the main app window.
There is little else to be said about the WordPress.com app because the offered features are identical to the ones you are probably familiar with if you use the web service. In future versions, however, it would be very helpful if the application offered more extensive OS X integration.
