MEGAsync For Mac

If you haven’t heard about MEGA, then you should know that it is a cloud based storage service with a strong focus on the security of your files.

MEGA is most known for their generous storage accounts and for their end-to-end encryption system that makes sure it will always stay as safe as possible.

The natural evolution of what MEGA stands for can be seen by looking at the company’s first macOS, Windows, and Linux client named MEGAsync.

As is the case with other similar clients for similar services, MEGAsync automatically synchronizes data between your Mac’s hard-drive and your MEGA cloud account.

Evidently, in order to get started using MEGAsync, you will need to first log in using your MEGA account credentials and choose at least one folder on your Mac’s hard-drive to be synced with the ones from the cloud.

As expected, you can later choose any number of folders to sync on both ends, and MEGAsync will take care of them in parallel without breaking a sweat.

The fact that MEGAsync will reside in your Mac’s menu bar after the installation is, also, not a surprise. One click on its status bar item is enough for you to see the recently updated files and the available storage remaining.

Regarding its simple interface we can’t really tell you all that much, but, accessing MEGAsync’s Preferences menu changes things a bit. From here, you can easily enable of disable the notifications, setup the app to open at system start-up and to update automatically, choose the language, add or remove sync folders, etc

If the MEGA cloud storage and file hosting service is your preferred choice, then MEGAsync is a must-have application for you, as it provides a very quick way to sync files between your Mac and your cloud account, as well as to efficiently manage them directly from the menu bar.
