Instatus Out is a simple open-source app that monitors all your services from the menu bar. If one of them is down, you will receive a notification, and you can check any of them with a single click.

While most users probably won't track more than a few of them at a time, Instatus Out supports dozens of services. Only those that are selected will be tracked, and you can see them at any time by just clicking the menu bar icon.

To check their status, the app uses each service's dedicated status page, which you can visit yourself by simply clicking the service in the app's main window.

Once you have selected the services you wish to monitor, you can configure the app to launch at startup automatically and enable or disable notifications. If you need to know that a service is down as soon as possible, you should leave them on.

After setting everything up, you can just let the application run in the background. If the monitored services are operational, it will just stay quiet in the menu bar. If one of them goes offline, a notification will be sent if this feature is enabled.

If knowing when a service is experiencing downtime is critical, Instatus Out is a must-have. It lets you monitor numerous services directly from the menu bar, and it is very simple to configure. The only real downside is that the app was created with Electron, which means it is larger and more resource-intensive than a native app.
