Microsoft 365 for Chrome For Mac

Microsoft 365 for Chrome is a Google Chrome extension that facilitates the access to the Office Online services.

The add-on requires you to log into your Microsoft account and needs permission to manage your documents and other data related to your account.

The extension integrates into your browser installation like any other add-on, and you get to manage it via the Extensions panel.

The icon will be placed next to your address bar and, in its main panel, you will be able to see a list with the recently opened documents.

You get to open new files that use the Microsoft Office formats either by browsing your OneDrive collection or by navigating to a location on your local drive.

Last but not least, Microsoft 365 for Chrome offers you the option to quickly open each of the Office Online editors in separate tabs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Sway) and start working on new documents.

In fact, depending on their format, each of the documents opened via the extension will be sent to the appropriate editor in a separate tab.

The add-on does not include any customization options, but you can opt to send usage data to Google in order to help improve the product.
