Façade is an interesting and absorbing experiment that tries to take traditional game beyond traditional barriers in order to create a fully-realized, one-act interactive drama.

Façade uses artificial intelligence technologies and a set of interdisciplinary artistic practices to support emotional, interactive character behavior and drama-driven plot. The entire action takes place inside a 3D virtual world, home to two computer-controlled characters with which you can interact from a first person perspective.

Façade allows you to use your own name and gender and step in the role of an old friend of Grace and Trip, an appealing and successful couple in their early thirties. As the story progresses, in an unexpected turn of events, the couple decide to divorce and you are in the middle of the situation.

Eventually, you’ll have to take a side and forcefully take irreversible decisions. Here is where you come into play and change the course of Grace and Trip’s lives. Façade has a high replay value, as you can obtain different results by taking certain decisions.

It is worth mentioning that characters actively perform various actions and carry on the story with or without you. Façade does not wait for your to click on a link or enter a command.

On top of that, you can freely interact and converse naturally with the other characters. Hence, you can explore Grace and Trip’s 3D virtual world from a first person perspective.

The AI is totally in control of both personages emotions, behavior, facial expressions, voice and body movement. At the same time, Façade automatically changes the story according to your moment-by-moment interaction.
