The first time I was introduced to an Apple computer, my mentor told me to relax and enjoy the ride since this is the simplest, most secure and hard-to-mess-up operating system ever.

As it turns out, with enough curiosity, imagination and determination, you can push any boundaries. When she told me that she has never seen so many Black Screens of Death as on my iMac in her life, I decided I must have a certain native talent, and persevered.

Years later, my Mac purrs smoothly and the only way to see a BSoD is to use it as a wallpaper, but I must admit that I never had so much fun as in those early days when I was trying to figure out what went wrong and if it can be fixed without a system install.

Random facts: cat person (obviously), I have a Bachelor degree in Comparative Literature and Cultural Anthropology, Portal fan (although traditional shooters also keep me entertained), my favorite movie is "Being Julia" with Annette Bening (amazing) but I will always watch "The Road to El Dorado" with pleasure.
