Apple lists la creme de la creme in cheap titles

Did you know that some of the best apps in existence cost a mere $0.99 / €0.89? The iTunes Store is chock-full of them, and there’s no shortage of demand either. After all, an app that costs less than a cup of coffee is a serious bargain bin.

Apple knows that people flock for one-dollar apps, so they’ve opened up a section on the iTunes Store called “Amazing Apps & Games for 99¢.” There, you can find a bunch of handy utilities and some of the best-looking games ever released for Apple’s iDevices. The 99-cent price point is applicable for both U.S. and EU customers.

In the apps category (which you can choose to display by featured, date, or name), Apple lists Toca Lab, Barefoot World, Day One (Journal / Notes / Diary), Living Earth - Clock & Weather, Facetune, Loopy HD, iTranslate Voice, FlightTrack 5, GoodReader, Union - Masking and Blending, Scanner Pro by Readdle, Little Builders, Paprika Recipe Manager, AirPano Travel Book, and Launch Center Pro.

Avid iOS gamers are offered titles like Leo’s Fortune (a jaw-dropping graphical experience, might we add), Infinity Blade III, Terraria, Surgeon, Goat Simulator, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Day of the Viking, Joe Danger, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes: Universe in Peril, Where’s My Water?, OTTTD, Farming Simulator,  Battle Supremacy, and others.

Visit the App Store, wait for the Amazing Apps banner to slide into position in the above carousel (or use the arrows to reach it faster), and click on it to access the new section. Enjoy!
