Swift Office Ships is a clone of the classic game Battleships. The only thing that differs is that Swift Office Ships is played on a Mac in a Bonjour (formerly Rendezvous) network instead of a piece of paper. If there is no other player available you can also play it against a computer opponent.

The bad news is that cheating isn't possible, so e.g. you cannot place your very last submarine while the game is already in progress ;-)

Limitations:

￭ Player's name cannot be changed.
￭ The game can be tested for a period of 15 days before it has to be registered.

Requirements:

￭ At least G3 processor with 256 MB RAM
￭ A local network connection (via ethernet cable or wireless) is essential for the communication between players.
￭ Make sure that ports 51001 and 51002 are not blocked by the firewall. If the firewall on your Mac is activated please add a new service ( System Preferences > Sharing > Firewall > New…) that opens these two ports. You don't have to do this if your firewall is off.
