    after I downloaded it couldn\'t figure it out then found a program on apple web site that helped

    What the hell did I just DL twice thinking it was a program? This really needs a whole lot of work to make it usable for the everyday user. Terminal? WTF? What is the point of this DL if it is not easy to use or any instructions as to how to properly make it work?

    WORST program I have ever seen. Makes me want to throw my Mac out the window and go back to Vista. It's a joke that no one has bothered to make a decent GUI Rar creator for Mac, instead requiring you to go into Terminal like it's 1982.

    (I followed the instructions EXACTLY and it still will not work)

    It doesn't work. There is no info in the Read Me file to give any clues. Really disappointing.

    I'm trying to make the move to mac. and pc just keeps getting in the way. Rar for mac is counter intuitive.

    User most unfriendly tool. Not all Mac users are programming experts. I know where Terminal is and what it does and typing the suggested command lines simply does NOT work. It's about time someone took the time to develop a RAR compression tool for Mac with a decent standard interface understandable by anyone. After all archiving files is not specialty work. Maybe Apple themselves could consider including RAR in their OS.

    If you can read... you can make it compress.
    Mac OSX is more than an "easy to use, drag and drop intuitive OS"!

    For those that at least know where to find the Terminal and how to get to the rar program:

    ./rar a path&nameofarchive path&nameofitemtocompress

    also ./rar --help ... helps!

    MAC has always been a graphic, easy to use, drag and drop intuitive OS. This program is a DOS type of comands in a console. Maybe made for DOS nostalgic Windows users trying mac.

    Typical piece of Windows sh1te badly ported to Mac. Five * to anyone who can get it to work.
