I have been running the older version of MenuMeters for over a year. I just downloaded the new version when it came out. When I tried to start it, I got a message saying it would not run on an Intel machine. It use to, whats up with this?

I've been looking around for *exactly* this application since I moved to the Mac from the PC. I wouldn't change a thing.

    LOVE. IT.

If computers are about handling information, this utility is about making sure you get to see the information - about what is happening under the hood.

You can set it to flood you with info, or as I do, just monitor CPU activity (is X frozen >again< ? No, CPU activity is not at 100%) and TCP/IP traffic (I monitor Airport traffic) with an easily absorbed coloured graph, all neatly tucked into the Menu Bar.

The only fault is with the developer's modesty - there is no identification in the data presentations of which utility it is, when you decide to change settings.

I also frequently use the supplied link to start up Activity Monitor - it makes it so easy to find the culprit when something untoward occurs.

    WELL worth a donation.

Any user running any Mac under about 1GHz needs this up there on the ' Bar.

A confident recommendation - just wish he built an OS 9 version too. :)
