I don't know what it is doing? Upon opening I am faced with odd options and no help. A window opens but get quickly covered by another window that just shows a column view of my documents folder. The option is Open or Cancel. Open what??? I took a chance and picked a random folder. Then another window opens that show what I picked is being referred to as Primary File. (Okayyyy?) Under that I am faced with another Select button in area called Embedded File. I clicked Select and it took me back to my Documents folder. What am I supposed to "select" and why? Again, taking a chance, I picked the same folder I chose before and clicked Open. Now I am back to the LameSecure window and have the option to Password Protect. The drop down menu has these four options - None; Embedded; Primary; Both. Hummmmm. Now what? I tried each in turn and got this message "The Primary and Embedded file must be different. I went back to the Embedded option and chose something different from my Docs folder. Then clicked None for pass protect. So what happened????

These reviewers are idiots. This program does exactly what it says it does. Don't blame the developer of the program and give low ratings because you were too moronic to remember or write down your password. I hate when try and place their stupidity and blame on other people.

    Hi All,

I used this s/w to lock files on my MAC and forgot the passwd after a while. I was worried about recovering the passwd and could not get much useful information on the same until I came across a very useful video on Youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rE0kGO-31lY&feature=player_embedded).

It talks about CLOAK, which is another app to hide and view hidden folders. I could recover my files with this s/w. A breather for all those who face troubles with lost passwords on lamesecure.

Is there any option to recover a lost password? I locked one folder using this s/w but neither is there any option of password recovery, nor does the folder seem to regain original configurations on removing the software.
