Simply try it.
Use Room correction's filters and upsampling and in stereo you will hear an imprevssive improvement of overall sound quality.
If you try the AVS 4ch mode, you will never come back to stereo or surround..... no words if not .... wonderful.

Compensates digitally for room freq. response artifacts, resamples digitally the audio from Itunes or other media player and (if you use the 4-channel olophony) builds a finally realistic soundstage even with the little TASCAM amplified speakers.

I tried this excellent software on my laptop. I have to say that the quality of sound is amazing! It is a mistery how it is able to guide my economic boxes and it makes them sound better than my hi-fi which I paid 10000 Euro!
I suggest to all users of mac to try it. MDB

Follow carefully the instructions and you discover a totally new way to listen to music and to watch films with a mac intel duo.
In AVS mode simply wonderful: all what is described in the site is real! I am a musician and for the first time I can appreciate a real reproduction of music that let me forget the sound reproduction system!!!
In stereo mode the improvement of quality of sound are clearly perceivable
With films and AVS audio (and a good projector or screen) you will perceive also an enhancemente of 3D perception of the images: the screen becomes a "3D window".
