| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | | Is this someone's idea of a cruel joke? I downloaded the software at the last minute before boarding a plane as something to pass time in flight. The game, as far as I can tell, is unbeatable. I also began discerning a pattern to the deals -- they're not random per se but apparently utilize an algorithm with enough seemingly random variables to make the game appear random. I began to notice that there is always a pair dealt in the cards showing and a third off by one. The value of the paired cards is usually low. (For example two 6s and a 7. In this example, the third 6 is usually one card below a playable card -- giving you three 6s for which you must find three 5s, three 4s, etc.) This forces you to draw very similar cards all of the time and quickly narrows the range of playable cards. Similarly, a key card that would bridge runs of high cards to low cards seem always to buried beneath the stacks so the runs can never be matched together preventing the game from being winnable. Finally, the game does not allow partial runs to be played on aces nor reshuffling of the draw hand. While this may be a clever trick, it does NOT make a game. I think the maker is playing a joke on players. |
