Because I have made a stink online and warned others of their Poor customer service and lack of response, they have banned me from purchasing additional seats to their software.

This package does not compile on Darwin with all the required packages installed (such as sdl, etc.) without correcting the makefile. If there is a standard fink installation of SDL, in order to compile, one needs to add the following lines to makefile.inc :
INCDIRS=/sw/include
LIBDIRS=/sw/lib
Then it compiles but I still cannot make the compiled executables run :-( The available documentation doesn't give a clue on this.

Any how after using this program I was able to get rid of 1300 pictures it took about 2 and half hours to do that. But it still missed another 1000 or so, so I run it again this time I put all my photos in one palce (NOT IN SEPERATE EVENT BOXEs) and I got some more duplicates Over all I am satisfied since there is no program out there that does a better job. |

| | GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | There are a whole bunch of Fractal programs out for the PC however FractalWorks which is loaded with sample plots and color schemes is extremely fun and educational for the Macintosh. I seem to have become addicted to plotting fractal images. The program will allow the user to plot Julia and Mandelbrot fractals and sample colors from other program windows and apply that to the fractal. The newest function of rendering 3d is a unique feature which is a blast. A fractal image can become 3d in an environment that allows the user to adjust the view angle and the brightness and even the direction of the light. Out put sizes are plenty large as the program will easily produce images larger than most printers can handle.
The program developer is improving the program constantly to accommodate new operating systems and keeps it usable for older machines too. The implementation and custom sizing makes this a must have program if you wish to generate new textures or if you just enjoy watching a computer generate a fractal. Three or four thumbs up in my opinion! |

The amazing thing is: my file names are full of junk, but VideoDrive identified all of them correctly. Overall, I was very happy with those results! I feel I have a whole new video collection now and I even rediscovered some old videos :-) |

I downloaded it again just to make sure. Yup, same nothingness. How are you suppose to CHOOSE the PDF to extract if it doesn't even stay on? Why aren't there any directions in the initial setup?
Sorry, but completely useless. Email me if I'm just not seeing the "clear way" to use this. |

There is Undo as well as Copy/Paste.
Timeline scrubbing? If you mean merely advancing forward and going backwards, that works fine. If you mean using an audio clip and scrubing audio, yes, Pencil needs a bit of work there.
This is ideal for pencil tests but as long as you are willing to put in the effort it can do much more.
All this said. Pencil still has its share of bugs. It is best to export animations as an image sequence. movie export is buggy and doesnt support audio. The vector tools are really rough and I would not use them.
I would view Pencil more as a work in progress than just an animation planning application. This is on its way twards being a very usable application! at the price of "Free" and no intentional restrictions(just stuff that hasnt been addressed yet) its one of the best things going if you are on a budget or just a hobbiest. |

If you want to have a video collection that looks like the videos you purchase in the iTunes Store, or the movie trailers you see in Front Row, then this tool is great. It fills in a description and adds cover art to movies and even TV shows and puts them in the right category.
I don't have an iPod but VideoDrive offers to convert incompatible videos for that purpose too. If you want to watch your videos in iTunes, Front Row or stream it over the network to another iTunes library, you DO NOT need conversion! And that's what it's all about!
Finally, I have my Front Row the way it was intended!! |
