Analyze the performance of your Mac computer by running tests in the common problem areas in order to avoid possible data loss and other issues. #Check Mac #Run test #Analyze performance #Check #Test #Analyze
MacCheck provides quick access to a collection of standard tests that you can run on your machine in order to detect possible issues and take the necessary steps to protect your data.
The MacCheck utility comes with a user-friendly interface and can be used even by the most inexperienced users.
To use the MacCheck application, all you have to do is launch it and press the Start button placed in the bottom right corner of the main window. The app will instantly begin to run tests, and you can monitor the progress in real time.
As soon as a particular area is cleared out, the associated icon becomes green, so you can identify the areas that have problems a lot faster. Note that MacCheck will automatically bypass the tests that are not suitable for your machine, such as verifying the battery or RAID status.
Worth mentioning is that, even though the MacCheck app can be used free of charge, you have to go through a registration process: just use the in-app panel to do that, and make sure to use a viable email address to receive the license key.
In the MacCheck Log panel, you have the possibility to see details about each test run by the application, and you can use the appropriate entry in the Log menu (or the associated hotkey) to export the content to a text file.
This is very useful if you want to share the information with someone else, or simply want to store it for reference.
MacCheck comes with no customization options, yet you do get to stop the tests any time you like, which might prove useful if you need to regain control of your Mac fast.
The MacCheck app does not require too many resources while performing the scans (4% or the CPU power and around 40MB or RAM on a 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo iMac with 6GB RAM), but it will turn your Mac unresponsive by design when testing the volume structures.
