  • New optional user preference added that will allow X2Pro to continue with AAF generation if a source media file cannot be read. When enabled the AAF will be generated with an empty clip in place of the unavailable source file. Details of the warnings are given to the user to allow investigation.
  • Fix for behaviour of some sequences that could be exported included roles that had been disabled. Fixed for exports using the 1.6 version of the FCP XML.

  • For the technically minded, we have achieved this by including background processing with both the AV Foundation Framework and the QT Toolkit. This allows X2Pro to support an even greater range of media files without losing any of the existing support.

  • X2Pro will detect and use an Active Audition during the export process without requiring finalization before the export
  • X2Pro will generate a text report detailing any warnings or errors generated during the export process and save this alongside the output AAF
  • Basic notification service added to allow messages to be displayed in the application
  • General enhancements for handling Re-Timed clips and managing the behavior when finding un-referenced files

  • Where available, Sandbox information from the FCP XML is used to gain permission to access media files, removing much of the need to explicitly provide this via Media Locations in X2Pro's preferences.
