  • Topaz ReMask 4 completely redesigned the Graphical User Interface, to improve its look and feel and usability. In addition to the GUI changes, it also improved the image processing algorithm in terms of its performance and quality. ReMask 4 re-implemented the Foreground Recovery algorithm, significantly improved its processing speed in high quality mode.
  • Additional Features introduced in ReMask 4 include:
  • Edge Shift feature, which is a post-processing feature that allows user to contract or expand the edges of the mask.
  • Using mouse wheel to zoom in and out the image.
  • Progressive brush size changes using bracket keys.

New in Topaz ReMask 3.2.0 (Jul 6, 2011)

  • Significant speed improvement in computing the initial mask and foreground recovery.
  • Improved magic brush performance, it is more accurate than the previous version.
  • 16-bit images are saved back to PS with the correct foreground adjustments.

New in Topaz ReMask 3.1.0 (Mar 24, 2011)

  • Increased speed in foreground recovery processing, it is now twice as fast as in V3.0 and produces more natural result.
  • Improved Magic brush performance, it produces better quality mask results.
  • New menu items to save and load tri-map and mask. This allows user to save partial result and re-start their work flow from a previously saved tri-map or mask.
  • The resulted mask has true black for the cut area, i.e., the last bit is not "stolen". This enables ReMask 3.1 to load in masks produced by ReMask 2 or other masking software.
  • Brush cursor color reflects the selected brush tool.
  • Auto layer creation feature can work on any layer on the layer stack, not just the top layer.
  • Added shortcut keys for Fill tools.
