Tofu Changelog

What's new in Tofu 3.0

Aug 9, 2023
  • Content is laid out faster and requires less memory.
  • Scrolling has been improved, as well as how the scroll position is remembered and restored.
  • In fullscreen mode, columns adjust to the width of the screen.
  • Display of PDF contents has been improved.
  • Tofu now uses modern app and window behaviour, such as autosave and automatic termination.
  • Empty windows show actions and instructions for getting started.
  • The Settings/Preferences panel was redesigned.

New in Tofu 2.0.1 (Sep 10, 2008)

  • The "View in Tofu" Service now works again.
  • Hyphenation now consistently works if set in the preferences.
  • Quitting with unsaved changes while in full-screen mode now behaves correctly.
  • Fixed a problem where the background would not be drawn correctly for short texts in full-screen view.

New in Tofu 2.0 (Sep 9, 2008)

  • Tofu is now a Universal Binary. If you have an Intel Mac, please let me know if it works for you.
  • Rewrote full-screen mode to show the menu bar and Dock (if you move your mouse over the edge) and to allow switching to other documents and applications. This means more than one document can be in full-screen mode at the same time. This hopefully also fixes crashes some people were experiencing.
  • Window resizing now snaps to quarters of a column width, to make fitting to columns easier.
  • Command-Equals can now be used to make text bigger.
