  • Previously selected rectangle region is cleared after loading Working Set, but appears on the Map View.

  • Index Map is drawn incorrectly when dragging it, if Index Map is small and there is a space above and below it.

  • Does not support DEMs from GSI of Japan, those have file extension ‘LEM’.
  • You should select directory instead of individual files for SDTS and JAXA ALOS DEMs.
  • All tiff format files can be selected by Open panel even if those files are not DEM files. They will be checked after you close the panel. netCDF files those have file extension ‘GRD’ are the same. Also bil form files are checked later if HDR file is exists or not.
  • Cannot read alias files even they point DEM files if you select directory. You should select individual files for aliases.
  • User Memo Data cannot show pictures, if referencing pictures reside outside Memo Library.
  • Terminate application if you close the main window.

  • Enhance the support of GeoTiff DEMs.
  • Can recognize GeoTiff DEMs which coordinate systems are defined by EPSG code only. When coordinate system is Transverse Mercator, it is added to the list of the Plane Manager automatically if not exists in the list. To retrieve EPSG code information, SimpleDEMViewer accesses internet.
  • You can export DEM file as GeoTiff even coordinate system is Transverse Mercator other than UTM.
  • Corrects following issues:
  • Lakes cannot draw if DEM's coordinate system is one of the plane in Plane Manager list and the list is changed.
  • Working Set cannot restart correctly if DEM's coordinate system is one of the plane in Plane Manager list and the list is changed. To avoid this remake Working Set.
  • Preset plane 'CH1903+' cannot use if the plane list is not changed anything from the original.
  • Export DEM function did not change sea value as specified in the dialog.

  • Information display of the Map View shows multple kind of DEMs instead of base DEM only.

  • When using UTM or other plane projection DEMs and they are BIL form, if their data pitch is not integer value, such as 0.5 meter, distance on the Map View shows invalid value.

  • In Panorama Views, vertical string without leader line can't move if its font has vertical mode.
  • In Panorama Views, vertical strings are drawn incorrectly when the font does not support vertical mode and the string includes non-Latin characters, such as Cyrillic, Arabic characters, etc..
  • Panorama View draws deep sea with whiter color more than expected if Haze Effect is on.
  • Panorama Views are drawn incorrectly when their windows are getting tab mode or exiting tab mode.
  • 360 degrees Panorama View may draws invalid line at picture boundary.

  • Corrects following issues:
  • "Selected Rectangle Region" was different slightly between the rectangle appears in the Map View and actual working region, when using UTM or other Plane projection DEMs. It is worse if the region is far from center meridian.
  • Invalid "Visible Region" maybe drawn when "Faster" is selected in some situations.
  • "Show creation dialog" button in the Panorama View information panel did not work.
  • Some dialogs's display position moved by user were not retained.

New in SimpleDEMViewer 7.3.2 (Sep 19, 2022)

  • Moving mouse pointer on the Map View with option key pressed shows one of "sea", "void", "n/a" or elevations. They were shown as "n/a" except elevations previously.
  • Corrects following issues.
  • If a cell of DEM that is next of sea cell has minus value, it was drawn as void area.
  • DEM type was not cleared after deleting DEMs, so that "Other Plane" type DEM file may be defined as previous type incorrectly.

  • In the "Jump to" functions, if you create new names and delete all names and quit program, you could not use "Jump to" function afterwards.

  • If selected rectangle region includes meridian of 180 degree, the dialog to change rectangle region does not work correctly.
  • Show always north and east for south latitude and west longitude in some dialogs, such as information panel of Mercator projection map, edit table of lake data, string attribute information in Panorama views, Edit User Data dialog, create and update dialog of User Area Data. No issues in map drawing.
  • Lines of User Route data are drawn incorrectly on projection maps ( Mercator, Conical, Lambert Conformal Conic ) under certain conditions.
