  • Library export! You can now use the Library Export function, under the username menu in the Library, to quickly export user-created library files to a zip folder on your computer.
  • Auto-release cutter preference. You can now set Studio to automatically release your machine's USB connection when your Studio window is not active. Recommended only for use when Studio's connection is causing conflict with a third-party USB device.

  • New Features:
  • Firmware v1.12 for Cameo 4 is now available.
  • This firmware update provides a new delayed loading option that can detect your mat or material, thus allowing you to use both hands when loading. To use this new delayed loading option:
  • First, press the Load button on your Cameo 4
  • Next, hold your mat or material in the correct positioning up against the pinch rollers
  • Wait 3 seconds, and the Cameo 4 will then load the mat or material into the machine
  • Bug Fixes:
  • A user-created SVG that has an image can now be correctly imported back into Studio

  • Unseen design indicator - New designs that have not been interacted with will have a blue bold title marking them as unseen. Folders containing unseen designs will display a blue dot. To mark designs as seen you can:
  • Right-click a folder and select ‘Mark All as Seen’.
  • Right-click the unseen design and select ‘Mark as Seen’

  • This update changes the way that information is transferred from secure web pages through the Silhouette Design Store. Previously, the software used a native browser from your computer to open and run the Silhouette Design Store. This meant that the software could only use the browser’s security protocol when connecting. Recently, the SSL security protocol that is used by many operating systems’ native browser became vulnerable and is no longer deemed secure by credit card companies.
  • The new version uses the TLS protocol to send data to the Silhouette Design Store, which offers proper data security. The update only affects the Silhouette Design Store and its security, as well as securely transferring information when upgrading the software with a license key.

  • Cut Settings panel now includes two Cutting Modes: Standard and Advanced. The Standard cut mode offers a familiar set up for users of previous software versions which allows individual images to be selected and assigned a cut style (No Cut, Cut, Cut Edge, Perforate, Perforate Edge). Cut condition selected in Standard mode will apply to all images. The Advanced mode offers the ability to cut by line color or by the image fill color. Designer Edition users can also cut by layer.
