April 27th, 2012· Transferred window and field management scripts to all lookup databases.
· Rebuilt entire lookup database layout design, scripts and fields. Created a new layout and table to add your own lookup databases as well as the standard record entries for the existing SUNRISE Contacts range of lookup databases, with pictures, and the ability to control access to these lookups via Account name of user (both external and internal users). New layout to control all access and add new lookup databases available under the File Access menu command in the File menu for registered users only. Significant reduction in script sizes and eliminating others for a clean, compact and more flexible feature.
· New splash screen.
· Fixed up auto-capitalisation button and script for new table environment.
· Fixed up Go Home URL menu command. Also modification to a script ensures when creating a new record and entering a new URL that it will automatically be recorded as the Home URL as well (only if no Home URL address is available).
· Transferred new Web Viewer layouts and separate window feature across all lookup databases.
April 19th, 2012· Redesigned Preferences layout.
· Fixed up drop down menus for document owner and holder.
· A FileMaker Pro 12 glitch causes part of a text in a field to be selected on entering the field with a drop-down menu despite specifying the field properties to select the entire content (seems to stop at dashes, ampersands etc). With no obvious means of controlling this, the print fields in the Documents Archive had to be converted to Pop-up menus rather than drop-down menus.
· Another oddity for FileMaker Pro 12 concerns selecting the Object Name. In list record mode, selecting the object by name can jump to the last record in the list and select the object there instead of remaining in the current record. As a result, a slight (but not perfect) change was needed. when navigating to the last portal of the current record within the Documents Archive. Thanks Apple!
· Rebuilt window settings script.
· Updated SMTPit, POP3it and Troi Encryptor plug-ins in the Runtime solution (located in the Extensions folder) for people interested in purchasing a license from their respective third-party developers (again many thanks to the develoeprs for allowing the plug-ins to be made available for users of this solution).

March 21st, 2011· Added option to include photograph of individual in the medium-size labels (ie. useful for name badges etc).
· The runtime solution provided by Apple Inc. is highly restrictive. More work was needed to get windows to close properly (since the red light window button is disabled).
· Pressing down the Shift key will change the behaviour of the documents, picture,. movies, sound container files when entered (ie. no insert file dialog appears). Also available in all lookup databases.
· Fixed New Record (Add Last Organisation Visited) menu command.
March 17th, 2011· Fixed portal movement scripts. A highly simplified way to move up a portal record has been achieved with remarkable ease. But due to limited portal manipulation commands available in FileMaker Pro 11, the movement down script remains as is with slight adjustments to ensure it works with this database version.

You can also have full control of the album artworks (ie. copy, paste and/or replace) as it should have been done in iTunes but for some reason is not done easily enough. All MP3 music files can be directly imported into the database for archive using details of the location as provided by iTunes when you export the playlist. NOTE: A future update to this database may see it recreate the folders and export the files to help rebuild the iTunes music folder.

Improvements added to all databases including adjustments to position of buttons, copyright notice and header within the Web Viewer for consistency with other layouts. Removed Switch View unless users request this feature be added.
· Slight changes to Splash Screen design for 2011.
· All Single User and MultiUser scripts have been removed. Specifying lookup databases to be multiuser-enabled in the Preferences section also removed. Activating multiuser mode and the selected lookup databases are now made strictly through the Sharing menu command under the File menu for multiuser licensees.
· Opening user-specified lookup databases on startup of the Contacts database has not work as intended. DatabaseNames function serves a different purpose and need not have to show any indications to the user that a lookup database is actually opened. The database can still be hidden and no way to know this until the Window Show command is enacted. Opening lookup databases on startup script has been changed back to its original form for simplicity. DatabaseNames function is being used in another script serving this very purpose in a more useful way.
· Simplified window resizing and position scripts on startup.

November 5th, 2010· Redesigned Help layout. Created a Request for Additional Help field where users can ask SUNRISE for more help (we can email updated PDF Help files to help answer your questions. The field allows users to write any amount of information they like instead of the pop-up dialog box input fields. Fortunately the user should notice no difference when using the navigation buttons. This is purely a time-saving feature for the developer.
· Rebuilt deactivation scripts for a similar self-autonomous layout detection and record deletion approach. Again the user will not notice a thing during normal operation of the databases.
October 22nd, 2010· Access to Graphs and Data for Graphs via the Transaction menu. Minimal interface suited only for people using the databases directly (ie. not for web publishing users).
· Fixed up max and min balance amounts functions under the Transaction menu for bank.sun and credit.sun.
· Re-built navigation buttons for multi-functional use in all databases. Navigation performs across records, fields and layouts. Record navigation under the Record menu remains as is. But the buttons have now been made flexible in what they can do. Assists with web publishing users to have greater flexibility to navigate within any database.
· Expanded Help layout shows sub headings within the PDF files.
· Find button turns into a Save button when you enter a field. Mainly assists web publishing users to save the record, but will work for all users.
· A rare instance where only one field on a layout may cause the copy record command to go into an infinite loop. Part of the Copy script command has now been made more robust. The updated portion of the script has been transferred to all databases.
· Cleaner tooltip for record number during Find mode.
· A slight interface problem when selecting Text Ruler causing a currently entered field in a Tab to lose Tab position while showing the active field, making the interface look odd (especially in the Labels layout when editing Label text fields). September 22nd, 2010· Provided fixed page sizes of A4 and A3 for graph paper.
· On reaching a high level of refinement with the databases, we have noticed two oddities. The first involves the Record Security "lock icon" function. This has been introduced and tested as far back as the time when FileMaker Pro 8.0 was released by Apple Inc. This has worked fine. Since upgrading to FileMaker Pro 11, we have only just noticed the dialog box for replacing field contents for this function to do its job has popped up 3 times when the lock icon is clicked to lock.. A check of all lookup databases show the tick in the check box to "Perform without dialog" has somehow been removed. Yet the dialog box for the lookup databases has never appeared prior to FileMaker Pro 11 and the related script has never been touched since then. For now this issue is fixed. But we have decided to keep a close eye on FileMaker Pro developments in the future.
· The second oddity involves the graphing paper labels. We see the "line per millimetre" label option will only show horizontal lines, vertical lines, or a combination of the two but never throughout the page. It has come to our attention of a graphic glitch in FileMaker Pro 11 where if the lines are grouped together and pushed right to the top and/or left edge of the layout design area, by choosing Preview mode you will see the above graphic glitch. It appears the lines must be pushed by 1 pixel away from the layout edges to resolve the problem and show a proper graphing grid. This is not the only software bug we have noticed with FileMaker Pro 11. This is now fixed.
September 21st, 2010· Removed Export All Tables button in Preferences layout. Added Export and Import menu commands under the File menu instead. These commands will only appear for the Owner. Modifications to Import script to allow import of all tables in an old version of contacts.sun (which must be renamed contacts.imp). Restructured the script for multifunctional command use and made into the most compact form possible. Only minor changes to Export script command to maintain consistency in filenames used as in the Import script.
· Removed border lines running on the inside of Front and Back DVD cover labels when the With Border option is selected. Border should only appear on the outside of the labels.
· Added the ability to show some of the general notes as a pop-up tooltip when the cursor hovers over the record lock icon. Only appears for owner and admin users, but not for guests and web publishing users.
· A failsafe method now incorporated to get default text templates generated and easily modified afterwards without the database trying to re-enter the default text. Same method also includes the ability to duplicate the last label design produced for the current individual if multiple designs are present and the user enters the name of a new database design. It will also include duplication of background graphic designs as well. A significant time-saving feature.
· Fixed Graphing labels. Removed bitmap images of graphing labels and replaced them with EPS images for higher resolution printing and more compact database size.

Storage tables for graphic templates are now merged with the universal labels table so you can store an unlimited number of fully designed and complete labels for each individual.

· Rearranged Delete and Delete All commands to the bottom of the Records menu to help prevent flaky trackpad buttons from accidentally lifting up and selecting these commands by mistake as the cursor is moved over the menu commands. Although there is a safety mechanism allowing users to cancel their selection, this is just an additional precaution measure for all users.
May 3rd, 2010· Fewer Documents layouts
· Improved layout design for infobase.sun.
· More messages shown to explain what's happening when recording, removing or showing email message templates.
· More speech for Help section, cleaner speech in fields where there is missing email, web or telephone information, and other niceties.
· Miscellaneous clean ups of interface.
April 27th, 2010· Added screen size details for Apple iPhone for users to enter in the Preferences section if they want automatic switching to mobile layouts mode.
· Slight adjustments to menu items in Web Viewer, Preference Page and Lookup Databases to ensure Contract and Expand commands don't show up (does nothing in these layouts at the present moment).
· Included Memos, Messages and To Do Items full details in the enlarged calendar layouts for a more efficient workflow.
· A slight adjustment to the Gantt Chart script: added a 10 minute leeway to end time for all upcoming to do items due from the date selected (or current date).
· Reorganized Email layout: a neater appearance when window is expanded.
April 23rd, 2010· Scripts made to resume even when other scripts are run simultaneously.
April 22nd, 2010· Created a larger main calendar layout to allow users to see more data.
· Added individual sort letters to the last remaining Finance layout.

· "Expand Layout" and "Contract Layout" names made clearer in the menu. Changed keyboard commands to avoid conflict with the Replace Field Contents and Current Date commands.
· Show Omitted Records work correctly for all layouts.
· Added Application status message to Expanded layouts.
· Minor tweak in user interface for the Orders list layout (added company name to the individual).
· Reduced FileMaker support to export file types (ie. SYLK, BASIC, DIF and WKS) has meant some tweaking of the export file type options in the Preferences and corresponding export scripts in all databases. Added the Microsoft Excel 2007 (.xlsx) file format to the export file type options.
· Re-organised Jobs/Position lookup database interface for a simpler approach.
· Provided dialog box option for user to select how to update related links when names have changed.
April 16th, 2010· Two minor incompatibility issues were noted under FileMaker Pro 11. The first issue involved the the pop-up list of all available lookup databases: it would not update and display correctly. The second issue involved the deactivation script and how certain commands were overlooked due to a new change in the Update script (see below). An additional command script in the former case and the same command added with slight rearrangement in the position of about half a dozen other script commands in the latter case helped to resolve these issues.
· Streamlined the Update script and made use of the new script triggers. You will see improvements such as the moment when you decide to change an existing individual or company name to another name — the new data will automatically be transferred across all lookup databases in order to retain links to the original related data. In other words, you will never need to click an Update (U) Name button again. In fact, this latter automatic name updating feature will now only work for FileMaker Pro 10 or higher. All other usual updates should work under FileMaker Pro 9 (should the databases be run under this application).
· Fewer buttons because of the new Update script has resulted in a simplification of the interface design in a number of layouts.
· Further simplification has occurred in the layout header design for a more Mac-like look and blend better with new toolbar design from FileMaker. Navigation buttons remain large and readbable and ready for new laptops with touch screens (in contrast to FileMaker's tiny navigation buttons in the Toolbar).
· Added graphs where appropriate. For example, you can now see Total Sales (tax also included) graphs by Company, Individual, Date, Month, Year and Product (more can be added easily if you wish). Data for these graphs can be user selected. In other words, you can choose to focus on the top 5, 10, 20 or more individuals and/or companies earning you the highest sales and keep track of the results in real time (as the orders come in and get paid). The same with dates, month, year and products. Graphs are fully expandable with window size and page setup. Simple graph designs for business use. Very easy to use buttons to select the data source or graph you want. Graphs accessible from the Sales Lead and Opportunities layout in the Finance section (for registered users). Thanks FileMaker!
· Graphs also included in the bank.sun and credit.sun lookup databases for instant visualisation and snapshot of your financial data (covers debit, credit and balance).
· While no major work was required in this update, the changes done are significant enough to warrant the release of this update with numerous time saving auto features, a simpler interface design, the addition of graphs, and fewer buttons for users to press.
January 29th, 2010· Registration fields auto-lock and can't be modified when registered.

· Added table to see all the projects/events associated with a contact on or after the chosen calendar date.
· Assigned To field placed in the Address Book list layout under Priority. Makes for a cleaner interface.
· It has been noticed the design of the Address Book general layouts can be unified. We can keep the tab design or spread out the individual and company details and still look the same, as well as choose to show the company details on top or the individual details through the tab control. To achieve the same design, tab graphic elements were made transparent and adjusted various other elements to look essentially the same. This simplifies the number of address book general layouts significantly.

· Slight adjustment to category field size.
· Further refinement of pop-up tooltip showing full name, mailing address, email and telephone number for a cleaner and more consistent look, especially for empty records.
· More robust discrimination script when finding encrypted code within text fields. This allows decryption to be performed on the code leaving other text untouched. This means multiple encryptions within the same text field is possible. Or in the notes fields, all encrypted codes can be found and decrypted (if it unlocked with the same password) all at once within every portal field.

· Miscellaneous minor finance-related interface improvements for greater ease of use and efficient workflow.
September 25th, 2009· Negative amounts in the finance tables shown in red for easy readability. Dates of various amounts converted to dd.mm.yyyy. A pop-up tooltip appears over the dates spelling out the full date to help some international users. Full name and date of order tooltip in other finance table layouts where appropriate.
· Added a custom table to the postcode lookup database. Just enter a country name and then import or type the data into it. Allows users to purchase a postcode data file for their own country and use it in this software.

· Fixed up a couple of Address Book lists where the Individual name would not sort correctly.
· Fixed up a slight error in the sort descending function.
· Added grab attention speeches and system sound alerts when an event reaches a certain time and a message appears on the screen.

· Added Alternate emergency phone number and relationship of contact to individual.
· Added Employee, Customer, Student and Member IDs to relevant layouts in the Contacts database.
· Added Next Field and Previous Field menu and keyboard commands to all databases. Similar to the TAB key function except it will jump to the next or previous empty field. Also helpful in the lookup databases with locked down field/record lists where Admin and Owner can go to an empty field and fill in missing data for the current record.
· New optimised Update Name script. This one is self-autonomous and able to carry out its functions over a dynamic range of layouts. It means greater reliability everytime this function is chosen and is flexible to include any number of layouts for now and in the future.
· Merged Telephone, Email Addresses and Web Addresses lookup databases into the Contacts database. An increase in performance of the Contacts database has been noticed (eg. record navigation).
· In the event no lookup databases are selected and web publishing users have no lookup databases enabled in multiuser mode by the owner, the pop-up menu list may show "no value list". A more user friendly approach has been added to show a message in the Copyright region and to stop access to the Lookup database layout if this happens.
· Separated Name Capitalisation Test function to work independently for both individual and company names.
June 30th, 2009· Guest access account have limited editing in fields that are empty (with the exception of the General Notes, which is accessible and editable at all times) for unlocked records.
· Locking (hiding) of records from Guest users now activated in Demo mode for user evaluation purposes.
· Enhanced Copy command features.
· Admin access account is restricted from accessing the Preferences section (requires owner to change settings).
· As suggested by a user, we have added an Expand button in the Email layout to show the email compose, inbox, outbox, spam and delete tabs in a fully expanded format (ie. fills the window with no header and expands with window size).
· Transferred an enhanced version of the self-autonomous sort script to all lookup databases. New layout designs incorporated for all lists/tables to keep them consistent with Contacts database and allow future expansion capabilities.

· Fixed minor column resize problem in Email Accounts list layout.
May 29th, 2009· The "Change Password..." command is now available in the FileMaker Guest account (and works only if you are at the host machine running the Contacts database as usual). Of course, the other External Guest account have their passwords controlled by an external server. However the owner has final say on which guests can access the databases through the Access layout (available in multiuser mode).
· Minor interface improvements to To Do, Messages and Memos lookup databases.
· Minor interface improvements in Personal section to handle window resize correctly. Expanded medical conditions in Personal section to handle different uses for the database (eg. for a school environment). Re-adjusted other personal information accordingly to give more room.
· Expanded background pictures with resizing turned on in both directions.
· Tightened up data control and cleanup of selected fields (eg. the Categories now get capitalisation and remove spaces/carriage returns treatment, and font size fields in labels are rounded to nearest integer).
· Because of Microsoft Windows XP's crappy interface drawing capabilities and the lack of professionalism compared to Apple OSX, we have decided to remove the line beneath the various subheadings in the Contacts database. They are meant to be no thicker than the width of a hairline and do appear that way in OSX, but they appear as 1 point in Windows.
· Fixed up missing field in Calendar due to the recent optimisations performed (and more to come...).
· Added Membership Level field to help turn the Contacts database into a membership database system for use in different types of organisations (eg. gyms etc).
· Made Finance and Personal layouts commands under the SUNRISE Contacts 2009 menu invisible to Guest users (affects Demo users as well).

· Simplified mailing address labels with a custom font size of your choosing (currently between 5 and 24 points inclusive).
· Simplified Name Badges labels with custom font sizes of your choosing.
· Additional login accounts (one for admin and the other for FileMaker guests ie. not from an external server) and two records created in the Access layouts of all databases to allow these users to gain access in multiuser license mode.
· Adjustable screen size for activating dedicated mobile device layouts.
· Hidden picture fields in the Address Book layouts are accessible by clicking into them (you must expand the window to see them!). This new approach avoids the boundary lines of the picture fields from showing up when entering other fields (ie. a cleaner interface during data-entry). Also the picture fields have been extended horizontally to any length depending on window size (you can store longer pictures if you can think of a need for it).
· Background custom pictures of main Contacts layouts now stretch horizontally with window size.
· Pop-up menu for Assigned To is restricted to those assigned to contacts in the Address Book layout. Full individual pop-up menu list shown in the Assigned To field in the Finance section for managers.
· Optimisation of Contacts database and selected lookup databases has led to a number of interesting and useful improvements: apart from reducing the number of fields and making scripts compact, we have noticed a new method for creating self-testing fields. Now all individual and company names are automatically cleaned up of carriage returns and extra spaces, and first letter capitalised. All other relevant fields get the same treatment. Original testing scripts made redundant and removed, leaving behind just the email address auto enter option (using your preferred email address structure). We have also created a new sort records script considered the most compact, flexible and is completely autonomous. It means any field can be added, modified, removed or made into repeating fields and the sort function will work everytime. As a consequence, a new categories system has now been developed using the repeating field concept. And it will allow the developer to add unlimited categories with ease on request by users. Other refinements to the fields are likely to take place in the future because of this new sort system.
· Added tooltip to help explain meaning of Do Not Call and Email Opt Out checkboxes when an X appears.
May 14th, 2009· Fixed line spacing for auto data entry emal address structure in Preferences section for PC users.

· A digital diary design incorporated into individual notes layout.
· Added phone and email opt outs checkboxes to Address Book layouts.
· Additional List layouts for the Address Book, including one dedicated to number of days since record was created to assist users on deciding which records to keep.
· Included a Section field to divide position details into two parts: (i) Position (eg. Assistant, Teacher, Writer, Friend etc) and (ii) Section (eg. Marketing, Maths etc). This helps to identify who the individual reports to in a section (ie. the manager or boss) simply by finding all records for the company, sorting by position and seeing who is the manager for the same section as the individual in question.
· Added product weight, shipping method, shipping costs etc to Financial layouts.
January 23rd, 2009· Minor clean up of interface in Personal section of contacts.fp9.
· Added total discount amount in invoice table.

· Added option for owner to specify which multiuser-enabled lookup databases should be accessible to guest users (ie. FileMaker network remote users) in the lookup databases page.
· As for controlling which multiuser-enabled databases appear in the FileMaker Open Remote dialog box, choose Sharing...-->FileMaker Network under the File menu.
· Removed buttons "7" and "D" in all layouts and lookup databases as these do not add anything for web publishing users (ie. Delete button is disabled for guest users and while "7" works, the accompanying text does not change automatically (may be rectified in FileMaker Pro 10), and users can close the database and access other databases).
· It is best to control the option of which databases users can access through a single switch available via Sharing...-->Instant Web Publishing under the File menu, choose the databases and click the radio button that says, "Don't display in Instant Web Publishing home page".

· Added EPS images of Australian states and territories to austarea.fp9.
· Found extra free US Zip codes to add to uscode.fp9, raising the total to over 80,000 records.
· Added more Airport Codes in airport.fp9. Updated latitude and longitude information using latest geodata.fp9 and included a distance calculator based on the Vincenty and Haversine great-circle distance formulas (for comparison purposes, although it seems the precision of the calculations shows the distance are virtually identical).
· Added option for user to enter sales tax percentage in the Preferences section.
· Added small buttons to top left-hand corner of databases to permit web publishing users to navigate and perform basic record functions (eg. Save record data).
December 8th, 2008· Modification to the script associated with the on/off multiuser button in Preferences — it now does the lot.

· Redesigned menu commands for layout navigation and now includes an independent Documents layout for quicker access.
· Other minor enhancements.
November 24th, 2008· Added line effect to notes in contacts.fp9.
· Added status fields and updated relationships in calendar for messages, memos and to do items. This enables a memo, message or to do item to be hidden from the calendar when the user selects "Completed" from the status field.
· A hidden feature has been added to permit time and date in memos, messages and to do items to end x hours or y days ahead of the start date. Currently set to 1 hour, users can now change the start time in the calendar and know the end time will be one hour after the start time. If users request it, this duration feature can be shown and users can change the start time knowing it will end at the specified duration.
November 17th, 2008· Enhancements to the design of the mobile layouts.
· Slight adjustments to help speed up Splash Screen display times.
· Minor adjustments to Personal layout.

· Added a Sales Performance layout to the Finance section.
· Added currency symbol to finance section of contacts.fp9. Added additional fields to help provide stage 1 of analytics and reporting for managers wanting to analyse sales, performance of salespeople, sales by region, sales by individuals and company names etc. Stage 2 of analytics will be to send reporting data of choice to a separate table and export this table data to Microsoft Excel where graphs can be incorporated.
· Discussions with a design consultant (who has earned himself a free copy of this database) has confirmed that the database designs are good with only a few exceptions (see below).
· The picture on the left behind categories is considered too arty-farty (difficult to see what it is) and hard to see the categories (too much distraction). We have decided on a simpler design for the picture and provided the option in the Preferences section for users to choose their own picture.
· A shade lighter in yellow for all relevant field backgrounds in contacts.fp9 (no other databases require this change). It could go more lighter. But make the yellow too light and it loses the two-colour design integrity. We will work on this aspect further in upcoming release versions.
· One point higher on the font size for categories. Makes for easier reading.
· Capitalised black header title on all databases to minimise interference of the black text with the white text below it (eg. the "p" in Lookup). Also provides a contrasting design between the black and white text adding to their visual appeal and relevance.
· Redesigned Preferences section using tabs, since the options have become too numerous and difficult to find.
· There is the possibility for the layout navigation buttons to be made larger or choose another method, and to combine more information into one or two layouts in the Address book and/or use tabs. These are basically a matter of personal taste. We will work on a solution to these design issues in a future release.
· It seems any other design issues comes down to personal taste, and sometimes the methods employed by other CRM competitors to slow down or stop the competition. Until FileMaker Pro decides to come up with powerful 3D designing tools for creating and easily modifying buttons and special effects to text and whole areas to help lift the database out of the screen and bring it on par with OSX and Windows Vista interface designs, simplicity will remain paramount in this database design. Whether it meets Windows or OSX UI design principles really gives way to whether the software is easy to use and achieves the objectives of the user.
· Menu access to Reference suite under Help in infobase.fp9.
· A slight simplification to the layout design for one of the address book layouts.
September 15th, 2008· Users can run Contacts database on a mobile device without the environment security detection system interfering when copying the databases from laptop to mobile device and vice versa. You only need a valid registration number to run (or run in demo mode).
· Added a registration page for Mobile Devices to allow users to register the databases. NOTE: You may have to re-register one more time if running the databases on a laptop.
September 12th, 2008· Provided double line spacing to notes in contacts.fp9.
· Added special compact layouts to handle screen sizes of mobile devices from 240(w) x 320(h) or 320(w) x 240(h) pixels. Simply launch contacts.fp9 and it will determine from the screen size the right layout display. Currently the layouts available in Mobile Device mode at this time are Address Book, Calendar, Notes, Orders and Documents. Want more? Ask the developer!
August 25th, 2008· Fixed up copy command for grabbing address and full name details.
· Turned record navigation buttons and menu commands into portal record navigation as well.
· Tightened up script for updating individual and company names in lookup databases. Removed Contacts menu and chosen an Update name button next to individual name to simplify menu design.
· Added individual and company document selection portal.
August 11th, 2008· A slight change to window size scripts in all databases ensures larger sized databases such as elearn.fp9 stay under the desktop window size.
· Tooltip now shows mailing address when cursor hovers over mailing address label headers.
· Latest FileMaker Pro 9.0v3 features added to webpage.fp9 (the web page catalogue creator tool). For example, unlimited text storage in the Web Page generated field means no need to stop and start during generation of the web page while the user copies and paste the data into an HTML file. Also it now exports the web page data automatically to an HTML file called "webpage.htm". Added a picture holder for each tag names and simplified some scripts to make use of new commands.
· New menu command called Contacts now permits updating of individual and/or company names in all relevant lookup databases.
· Added a keyboard command for quick access to Web viewer in all databases.
· A slight modification to the PDF/Print script means users can now create PDFs of any layout, document or letter and have them appended to the same filename in contacts.fp9. Hence you can combine a letter and an advertisement from two documents into the same PDF file. Filenames of PDFs were kept constant and took out page preview script in the PDF/Print script for this to work.
· Added a separate "Preview Page..." in the FIle menu of all databases.
August 4th, 2008· Added email message templates in Email section and made modifications to Documents in Labels section.
· Rebuilt record security scripts.
· Limited Send All button to work for Owner.

· Able to print letters and documents in PDF within contacts.fp9.
· Increased flexibility of, and helped stabilise, interface design for sending/receiving emails in contacts.fp9 to permit possible future expansion of email status selections for incoming and outgoing emails while keeping the tabs fixed. Added a Spam email viewing option with appropriate buttons.
· Automatic insertion of a "Notice of Confidential Information" when creating a new email message in contacts.fp9.
June 23rd, 2008· A silly missing QuickTime compressor issue on the PC side (where users don't have Apple's QuickTime) prevented the TIFF graph button image in labels to appear as an independent graphic. As a result, additional work was needed to fix this up.
· Print passport photos (two types) in photolog.fp9.
· Added a Sold By field to the finance/order system to help managers determine how well sales people have been able to sell items in the invoice/order system.
· Added photo sample sheet to photolog.fp9.
· Complete rebuild of script timers for memos, messages and to do items. Closing the databases and relaunching will not lose upcoming events.
· The popularity of the switch to permit users to add or remove captions to printed photographs has seen us add a selectable multicoloured captions option where readability is important in certain pictures.
· When displaying movies/pictures/documents in full screen size in infobase.fp9 and the slideshow in photolog.fp9 we have implemented a new script approach for ensuring the original window size and position is returned when the user has finished.
June 2nd, 2008· Fixed up layout name problem in custom business card printing.
· Decided to keep Setup front tab in Email layout unchanged when clicking Send and Receive buttons. This allows quicker changing over to different email accounts while clicking the buttons (for multiple email accounts users).
May 28th, 2008· Due to a FileMaker interface design problem whereby headers and footers are not clickable if the active field runs underneath them causing problems for users to exit out of a field by clicking in the header or footer, we have introduced a Commit Request/Record command under the Records menu with its own associated Command Option C key combination. This will make it easier to exit out of an active field. A useful feature to have in the documents composer section of contacts.fp9 where the field has to be naturally large.
· Unlimited email filtering (spam recording) in sendemail.fp9. Never read emails or download attachments from spammers ever again.
· Updated send and receive email scripts to handle latest SMTPit Pro and POP3it Pro plug-ins. Re-tested all scripts including ability to download and upload attachments. Added more tabs in Email section of contacts.fp9 to help quickly view emails by Sent, Send, On Hold, Read and Unread. Also included a Delete tab to show email marked for deletion. Click the portal row and choose Delete Record to permanently remove the emails or go into the lookup database.
· Fixed up remaining graphic elements for correct auto resizing with window.
· New demo script finds all available lookup databases and updates menu list and check boxes in Preference Page accordingly.
· Changed "Bank Details" to "Bank Account Details" in lookup menu list of contacts.fp9 for a more accurate description of the lookup database.
· Multiuser mode tested and fully functional. We have discovered the built-in Firewall of OSX may need to be switched off for network users to gain immediate access to the Contacts and lookup databases. A message during multiuser startup mode now reminds host user of this information.
· Modified design for one address book layout.
· Added new layout to infobase.fp9 to permit diaries or movie outline scripts to be entered. Type date of diary entry or number sequence of an event for a story and the notes are automatically sorted. List-based view ensures you can read all entries in the simplest up-and-down scrolling fashion.
· Consistency in showing word and character counts in all the sorted portal notes of contacts.fp9.

· Made Web Viewer buttons disappear in print mode.
April 7th, 2008· Added status message to Web Viewer.
· Improved the scripts for Web Viewer's Home and Go buttons.
· Reactivated Show All Records, Sort Records and Show Omitted Only under the Record menu to work with Web Viewer.
· Added the ability to extract all URLs in contacts.fp9 to the Web Viewer.
· New Message button intially clears the subject and message fields. Clicking again clears the header information. This makes it easier for users to retain email address(es) when creating a new message.
· Added Subject to the Message tab of Email layout in contacts.fp9.
· Two field name changes to tracker.fp9 for consistency with other third-party databases (and allows for greater compatibility and ease of importing and exporting of data).
· Added a test at startup where a change in filename for contacts.fp9 may be attempted by users. Until FileMaker Inc. improves the flexibility of choosing filenames through a simple piece of text, this needs to be fixed to allow lookup databases to access contacts.fp9. The same has been done to all lookup databases.
