  • If you’re still encountering problems with iCloud sync, drop us a line via the “Support” link in the App Store - and if you love Ember, we’d appreciate a review in the App Store.
  • P.S. We know that iCloud isn’t for everyone, so expect support for Dropbox sync in a forthcoming Ember update!

  • If you’ve got the Browser Extensions always enabled, then Auto-Import adds images in the background too.
  • In addition to Auto-Import this update fixes a few problems you’ve reported, and features an even more polished design.

  • This update also offers a Library backup feature, and Ember automatically backs up your library as you go.

New in Ember 1.2 (Oct 28, 2013)

  • Ember will analyze the images in your library, and allow you to search for colors. Just type in the name of the color you’re looking for (for example: “Dark Blue”, “Light Green”), or use the color picker when building a Smart Collection.
  • iCloud:
  • Store your Ember library in iCloud, and access it on each Mac you use.
  • Depending on the size of your library, the initial upload to iCloud may take some time. We highly recommend you visit the Ember support area and read our iCloud FAQ before moving your library to iCloud: http://bit.ly/ember_icloud

New in Ember 1.1 (Aug 13, 2013)

  • Introducing “Smart Drawing”:
  • We’ve been hard at work bringing some frequently-requested features to Ember, and today’s update adds what we’re calling “Smart Drawing”.
  • As you annotate your images, Ember detects you’ve drawn an arrow, circle or square, and magically replaces your drawing with a beautifully-smooth shape.
  • We’ve made a number of other tweaks and changes in this update:
  • Drag images straight from the Finder to Collections in your Ember library!
  • Because your GIFs need managing too, Ember is far smarter about dealing with them. GIFs + Ember + Sharing to Tumblr == Awesome
  • When you click “Full Width” in the Ember browser the width now tracks any window resizing. P.S. Did you know that you can drag and re-arrange the width of the browser?
  • Each image’s file type is now visible in the Inspector.
  • Lots of other small fixes and tweaks to ensure your Ember experience is as smooth as possible.
