- Rewritten copy engine for faster copying.

- Changes:
- This release requires Mac OS X 10.5 or higher. Music Rescue 4.1 will remain available from our support site for customers using Mac OS X 10.4.
- Bug Fixes:
- Fixed crashes caused by a corrupt device filesystem. Problem files will now be skipped and the copy will continue.
- Fixed a crash that would occur when trying to use an iPad with Music Rescue.

- Sorting Presets now correctly respects the leading zeroes setting for track and disc numbers.
- The Browse lists are now much smarter about grouping items that contain a lot of whitespace (spaces, etc).
- Copies no longer fail with a blank “Copying…” sheet when the iPod’s serial number couldn’t be read correctly.
- Improved serial number reading from older iPods.

- Music Rescue can now load databases from iPod touch and iPhone devices running software 3.0 or higher on Mac OS X 10.4.

- New Features:
- Music Rescue is now compatible with the new database format introduced in iPhone and iPod touch software version 3.0. This fixes blank libraries when using Music Rescue with these devices.
- Introduced a new copy engine, which supports files greater than 3Gb or so.
- Music Rescue now displays the amount of disk space needed to perform a copy in the Copy Setup sheet.
- Music Rescue will now reduce the character set used in file and folder names when copying to non-HFS drives to avoid naming issues.
- Bugs Fixed/Changes:
- Clicking “Cancel” when copying no longer waits until the current file has completed before actually cancelling.
- Switching between large playlists is now much, much faster.
- The “Copy Order” preference is now respected correctly.
