What's new in Connect ALL 13

• Easier to access - The new Connector menu extra/task bar now provides a single point of access to all installed Connectors. This makes them easier for end-users to find and manage their installed Connectors.
• Incoming file control - Connect now provides ultimate control over file types acceppted or rejected for delivery by a Connector. Plus, customer messages can be displayed helping instruct remote users what they can do next.
• More Control - Connect 13 adds more control to to several functions within a Connector including use of job ticket variables in PDF file names, or restricting printing for new PDFs saved locally. Plus more!
• New Switch XML format for Job Tickets - The new Switch XML format for job tickets in Connect 13 produces a shorter XML format that is easier to work with. This new format is the same as the XML format generated by Enfocus Switch.
• Job ticket fields as variables - New in Connect 13, you can now use job ticket fields as variables for custom PDF file naming, and in notification emails. The currently selected job ticket fields will become available in the variables selection window. They will begin with the “%JT” tag.
• Restrict printing and Action List modifiers for locally saved PDFs - In order to help service providers protect the PDFs being generated and saved on the remote users workstations, we’ve added a couple new features. Found under the “PDF Creation” tab, you can now enable “Restrict Printing”, or apply a Pitstop Action List to the PDF being saved locally. Selections here will not affect files uploaded to a remote delivery point. (Connect ALL only.)
• Custom PPD files for the Virtual Printer - In Connect 13 you can use an alternative PPD (Postscript Printer Description File) file in the PDF Creation process through the virtual printer. This is most often used to allow additional or non-standard page sizes to be selected for the PDF creation in most applications. This does not affect PDF creation in the Adobe Creative Cloud products using the Connector Plug-in.
• Please note, custom PPDs must be saved in the Simple Text format to be recognized by Connect ALL.
• More PitStop Preflight reports - Connect 13 now supports all PitStop Preflight reports. All standard reports will show in the selection list and custom reports are also supported. See the Connect documentation for using custom reports.
