New in PDF Squeezer 4.5 (Feb 29, 2024)

  • NEW: The file inspector can now be scrolled, which is useful when there are many metadata to show.
  • NEW: A new extra tool has been added. You can now extract and export text from a PDF file.
  • NEW: The inspector on the right side is now visible at launch, if you didn't close it the last time you used it.
  • NEW: There is now a progress indicator next to the file in the sidebar list.
  • NEW: Processing of images with indexed color space has been improved.
  • NEW: You can now open a compressed file in your PDF Reader app by double-clicking the icon or right-clicking on it.

  • NEW: When you switch the selected file (not the compressed file) in comparison mode, the PDF viewer returns to page one.
  • NEW: You can now share your statistics as an image by clicking the new button in the statistics window.
  • FIX: Sometimes the compression did not start or the button to start the compression wasn't visible.
  • FIX: Some Macs may not utilized all the performance CPU cores when compressing files.
  • FIX: Editing custom metadata settings did not apply in certain situations.
  • FIX: In certain cases, metadata containing special characters did not display correctly.
  • FIX: Switching the selected file could hide the correct title of the selected file in the inspector.
