  • Now starting to release 6-bit capable releases of the software. Mystery House 10.0 and the upcoming ports of the coming software projects require Mac OS X 10.9 and above.

New in Mystery House 9.5 (Aug 10, 2017)

  • With the most recent major version, the standard Saved Games folder
  • is stored within Application Support now. Previous versions offered to save in
  • Documents folders as well, but this option has been removed in current major version.
  • Unfortunately, there was a mistake in the Saved Games dialog when opening a game from
  • within the Documents folder, which is fixed now.

New in Mystery House 9.4 (Dec 27, 2016)

  • Earlier versions offered a choice between Documents folder and Application Support to save games at the very first start. Now, the Application Support folder is the only folder to save games. In case the Documents folder has been used before to save games, you can still switch between Documents and Application support to read the saved games stored in the Documents folder.

  • The Command Input Window has been removed finally. In recent versions, it was an optional way to enter commands.
  • Instead of, do the Right-Click (or the well-known Ctrl-Click method) to enter commands on objects on the screen.
  • This is the last major version to support PowerPC Macintosh models with minimum Mac OS X 10.4 installed.

  • Starting a new game it is called 'Current game' now, to prevent issues when saving a game the first time. Previous versions offered an empty file name to be saved ('.attic').

  • Mystery House now takes notice of british english. If you're living in the UK please response, if you still find some words written in US english.
