MovieDek Changelog

What's new in MovieDek 1.1

Feb 17, 2015
  • Maintenance update for Mac OS 10.10.1.
  • Added Help menu link to the app's website.

New in MovieDek 1.0.12 (Jan 3, 2014)

  • Update for Mavericks

New in MovieDek 1.0.11 (May 8, 2009)

  • Previous versions assumed that the duration of each movie frame was the same, which is not always the case. This caused the wrong number of frames to be extracted from some movies. A different approach to finding frame times has been implemented to avoid this problem.
  • Added the option of padding frame indices on the left with zeros so that frame order matches certain filename sort orders.

New in MovieDek 1.0.10 (Nov 10, 2008)

  • Improved memory management for better performance.
  • The "frame count" function was counting non-video media samples resulting in more image extractions than necessary.
  • When a frame range was specified, the program would continue to step through the movie when the range end was reached (although frame extraction did indeed end.)

New in MovieDek 1.0.9 (Nov 4, 2008)

  • The JPEG 2000 file extension was set to "jpg" and not "jp2"
  • You could not erase the "From Frame" field in preferences.

New in MovieDek 1.0.8 (Jul 25, 2008)

  • Fixed the German localization: the movie frame range and frame count items were missing from the Preferences window.

New in MovieDek 1.0.7 (Jul 14, 2008)

  • Fixed the "Skip" parameter: it was not restored and displayed properly in the Preferences window. Also, the Skip field was not displaying 1 when it was left blank and the Preferences window was re-opened.
  • Fixed the "To Frame" preference value. If you blanked out the field it was subsequently restored to the last non-blank value when the Preferences window was re-opened. (Set the field to blank if you want to process to the end of the movie.)
  • Fixed tab order of controls and added help tags to each in the Preferences window.

New in MovieDek 1.0.6 (May 22, 2008)

  • In the Preferences window you can now specify a range from which to extract the frames, rather than extract from the whole movie file at once.
  • The "Copy to" path is now updated whenever the destination folder moves or changes names.
